Why does Dragonball attract so many of... "Them"?

Daizex seems to be a small but active community, which is the way I like it for a nitch anime/game/etc.

Plus the people who seem to be a little out of line or just plain dumb only post like once or twice. They get the vibe we give them: "Leave..."

You've just been spoiled by Daizex, is all. The "screaming 9 year old" count on here is relatively small (and those that do get in tend to get booted out eventually) compared to the norm... everywhere else. That was actually part of what I was talking about in my first post. Those types are more prevelant in DB fandom than any other I've encountered, this includes Naruto. In fact I've met very few of them in the Naruto fandom. Granted, I'm barely active in that, and I've met my share of them as attested to by the Dattebayo stuff earlier. But by and large I've encountered at least 50 of "them" in DB the fandom for everyone 1 in Naruto.

Wow, I guess you guys have been pullin' the ol' wool over me eyes eh? I just find it ridiculous that I can get into an argument with somebody about a show that I don't even watch is all.

I wan't talking about arguing with him (Which I'm not) I was talking about arguing with Naruto fans.

With Naruto, it also has to do with how some guys were introduced to it. No one complains about Kenshin's catchphrase, but most were introduced to Kenshin through the tv series which kept his catchphrase in both dub and sub, while Naruto fans were introduced through fansubs that didn't.

Keep in mind that he doesn't just say dattebayo. He also attaches -ttebayo to the end of sentences.

"I'm going to be the next Hokage, believe it!" works much better in english than "I'm going to be the next Hokage-ttebayo!" It would sound really, really, really retarded.

@Super Sonic- that's a good point. My little brothers are into the show through the dub, and they are actually put off by Japanese equivolent phrases (ex- they prefer Shikamaru saying things are such a drag as opposed to saying they're bothersome).

Exactly, they complain about the no swearing bullshit in the dub, I suppose they only have seen the Cartoon Network version and never bought the DVD's, and just download fansubs, here's an example that the uncut keeps everything in, dialouge, blood, swearing, etc.:

I read pretty much the first message, didn't even bother to read the second, and scrolled all over the posts, I just had to say this. Those messages made me remember the Juggernaut from the famous "Juggernaut Bitch". Example: "You can't hurt me, are you a fucking ass? I'm the Juggernaut bitch!" and another: "Don't you know who the fuck I am? I'm the motherfucking Juggernaut, bitch!"
