I'd just like to add support to this, yes I've done it too but off topics should be kept to the intro section.

And I can ESPECIALLY agree with no general forum - I don't think anyone here besides EX and I went to Tenkai - and be glad for it - the general forum there was absolutely horrible and really did drive people apart, and also pretty much killed Dragon Ball discussion, it became a board about the board members, their friends and enmies and all the stupid drama you can spit at. Thank god this forum won't be going there.

HOLY SHIT, IT'S LASERKID!!!

Okay, anyway, Laser's right about Tenkai, the Gen. forum there was absolute chaos and just bred animosity. It was completely unwelcoming and downright scary.

Not having a General forum doesn't promote a heavy community, which makes for a smaller core-group, and a more openness to new members. This is, of course, a good thing. And, if you don't have a Gen. forum, then any thread that goes off-topic in a specific forum becomes... SPAM! Woo!

So, yay for EX.

It's only fair, though. The reason we have the restriction is because most of us have dial-up, like me, and sigpics make message boards take FOREVER to load. I stopped going to the OA boards because they were a nightmare.

That, and it meant that 90% of each page was taken up with the same images posted over and over again, leaving only 10% for the actual, y'know, posts.
