Bojack was the apex of this. Krillian was not allowed to get in a single punch in the whole movie. Would Bojack have looked less fearsome if the human fighters had landed a few punches on his henchmen?

In defense of Kuririn's Kienzan on Cell...
Kuririn and Trunks were beating the crap out of him, and Cell was off thinking about something else.
The disk hits, and Cell starts paying attention to them.
If anything, it got his attention... XD

(... on another random Cell related note... why did Cell's taiyoken against Piccolo and Kuririn... ur... work? He was flying away; what stoppedthem from following him ki-style? )

Stand directly in front of a turned off giant spot light with someone running away from you shouting. Then, have the giant spot light turned on. See if you can focus enough to hear the shouting person through the blinding pain that just hit you. You've got to pin point their exact location in about 1 second, too, because after that they'll stop shouting. >>
