I know you said specifically "that aren't playable in a Sparking/Tenkaichi game", but I do want to point out that most of these characters are playable in Advance Adventure.

Y'know what would be even better? If we got a Dragonball game with a more complicated control scheme then "MASH SQUARE AND A+B FOR KAMEYAMEYA"...
Which is then easily dodged by moving to the side, or use the more complex way and time your block right to teleport out of the way. Sparking really isn't all that dumbed down. ( also on a side note, mashing the square button stops working after you get past the "Easy" difficulty )
It does? Thats news to me because I play on the hardest difficulty and its the same mundane redundant bullshit which I win by button mashing. I know you can pull of some super special awesome combos but when the game play is so boring it doesn't draw me in I have no urge to memorize them.

Didn't that have a control scheme of "MASH HALF-CIRCLE and ENERGY FOR KAMEYHAMEYHAY". Oh, no, it didn't, because the controls didn't give a fuck what you pressed and did whatever they wanted to.

And what's a "mira-kun"?

That's strange, I can pull off most any move on the drop of a hat. I wouldn't blame the game for that issue you're having. Actually a Kamehameha was more complicated then a half circle.

You must be one helluva gamer then, cause last time I played on Very Hard the computer could block most of the rush combos.

You must have a tougher game then I, I can usually finish them off with just doing the small simplistic combo of [ ] [ ] [ ] (any directional button) and hold [ ] along with occasionally shooting off a beam or rush attack.

Indeed I must because typically I have to mix up my combos something along the lines of Heavy Finish, Kiai Cannon, Ground Slash, and an occasional Smash to have succes in Very Hard.

If I'm playing as a bizarre character from time to time I will need to change up my moves a little bit (Bizarre as in Zangya, Guldo or Muten Roshi). That's another thing I dislike about the games, I know in the context of the show Kid Goku couldn't stand a chance against Brolly but there is no reason to make your characters so unbalanced in a FIGHTING game. If they wanted to give characters big handicaps off the bat in regards to their power in the manga/anime it should have been a separate mode. So often I want to play as Muten Roshi but know I'm starting off at a huge disadvantage against my friend who without fail picks Goku every-single-time.

It's not a fighting game. It's a Dragonball Z game.

But I can't, that's how life is. Time is a bitch. The party is over. Kageyama, Kikuchi, and Maeda are off the sauce now; Yanami almost OD'd; Yamamoto got arrested; Toriyama's not going to light trash cans on fire and hang from the chandelier anymore. We can't get the band back together, and even if we could, everyone's either old, in poor health, or calmed way the fuck down. Best we're going to get, and are getting, is a party that's almost entirely devoid of the magic that made the original one so awesome that we even want more.

Fighting games wouldn't be any fun if certain characters were automatically crippled against or unable to beat other characters.

So yeah, let's keep on beating the crap out of Yi Xing Long with Chibi-ChiChi. It's awesome that way anyhoo.

And Kami, Popo, and Murasaki are many things, but filler ain’t one of ‘em.
However uninteresting in my opinion is, I can't see me using them more then once or twice chuckling at their unique move list and moving on.

I wouldn't even mind if a few characters move lists or strength were crippled but at least give them a fighting chance there isn't a need to start them out with minimal health. Despite the health issue Guldo is a perfect example of how you design a crippled joke character.

There were some rumors floating around somewhere after Meteor was released taht the Sparking! series would continue as a Wii only title and that the next installment would finally include some sort of character creation mode. But that was months and months ago.

As for other characters, there are many new characters that can be added, as well as different versions of current characters. Plus they can add in the scenerios that were removed and do them in the new style.

That's why I like having RPG elements in these games, so you can have it both ways. In story mode you can have level 100 or whatever Yi Xing Long be far more powerful than anyone, but in other modes you can beat the crap out of him with level 200 Chi Chi.

It would be more awesome if she had an alternate costume that didn't display twelve-year-old ass every time she powers up. *shudder*
