Y'know as much as I hate the character choice for season 6 and 7, I'm almost positive they're gonna grow on me.

It's like they're intentionally trying to fuck this up.

Nothing against Piccolo's Makankosappo against Raditz or Freeza Arc Goku, but how about something, oh I dunno, from the actual set?

The only equation Funi sees is this one: DBZ season sets=Money. Content or logic really doesn't make sense to them.

Yes, because Piccolo on the cover will ruin the set and prevent them from making money.

It's a cool enough cover for me not to fret over it a whole lot.

Piccolo needed a cover shot anyway.

As much as the cover makes no sense at all, some of us on the forum will buy it(including me). Dubbies will defiantly buy it. Anoynomous fans and closet fans will buy it. Funimation, at the end of the day, will make a lot of money.

I have a question, regardless. Do people not like the cover because Piccolo's on it, or do they not like it because he's using an attack from the Saiyan Saga? I mean, Piccolo's actually quite active in the Tenkaichi Tournament and Babidi episodes (and gets even more active as the Boo Saga continues), so I think it makes sense to have him on the cover, even if he's not the most prominent character in the season (I'd prefer Goten & Trunks, myself, though I do agree that Piccolo deserves a cover.).

I guess my question is: if the image of Piccolo was changed to one of him just standing there in his cape and turban, would everybody still be blowing this out of proportion?

Yeah, just like season two's cover was from Ultimate Uncut Volume 1. Apparently FUNi doesn't have as much art to work with as we thought.

Dubbies isn't a negative term. It just means people how indorce the dub. But yeah, people who don't mind or like the widescreen will buy it.

People don't like it because Piccolo isn't even a main character during this arc of the series(Buu stuff). Originally it was Majin Vegeta, and I think most of us were satisfied. So them changing a product again pisses me and others on the forum, I'm sure.
