Anyone want a Legendary Super Warriors Remake on the DS?

Post by VenomSymbiote » Tue Aug 19, 2008 5:51 pm

Hi! I'm VenomSymbiote, here with another post.

Anyone here still have DBZ Legendary Super Warriors for the GBC?
Anyone want a Remake for it?

Have fun and nostalgia with this thread.

BTW, I've had that game since it came out, and I Still don't have all the characters! I'm missing Super boo and his forms, and Kid buu.

If you guys still remember how to unlock them, help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks! :D

Here's what Gamefaq.com says about unlocking those characters:

Evil Buu: Defeat as Fat Buu
Evil Buu – Absorbed Gohan: Defeat as SSJ Gohan
Evil Buu – Absorbed Gotenks: Defeat as regular Gotenks
Kid Buu: Defeat him as Fat Buu or SSJ Vegeta
Kanzenshuu: Is that place still around?
Sometimes, I tweet things
We might, if they screamed all the time, for no good reason.

I still have the cartridge, but it doesn't work anymore. I'd love a updated version made.

Isn't there a sprite overhaul/remake project in the works, online somewhere?
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
it's not too hard, it just is a little long, but with high replay value

Did anyone figure out how to block? Everytime I chose block it said it didn't work. I then proceeded to get smashed.

Also, it was almost impossible to tell when the enemy was going to hit you three times or launch a spirit bomb in your face!

Up until right after the Freeza stuff, there seems to be a pattern where the opponent will "Gather Power," then "X-Stage Punch," and then a special attack.

Still haven't figured out how to determine whether that attack is physical or ki-based, but you can usually figure it out.

Or, I could be just spewing crap. Maybe someone else has noticed something similar, though.
---

I would really like a DS remake or something of this, just tidied up. A lot of the mechanics of the game aren't really explained, and unlocking some of the characters is really obnoxious (I really have to play the game AGAIN because I neglected to do something during fight three? REALLY?).

LSW is one of my favorite DBZ games, though, and it still holds up, or so I found over the weekend, but it could be so much better if some of it's minor flaws were fixed.

I was really hoping that HGD was going to be in the same vein, but I never looked to far into it to really find out...

I never really cared much for the game. It tried to pull of some sort of mix between a card game and a strategy game, but the lack of options turned it into nothing but guessing whether you opponent was going to attack or not, and playing mind games with a computer isn't really that entertaining.
