It's one of the best vocal pieces in the show, and it's a total shame that it was left out...but as long as it's in the full Japanese audio track it won't bother me.
You can listen to it hear (this is the video with the best audio quality I could find):

Um yeah, sorry to break all the comradery on the "super bummed that spirit vs spirit isn't in it" deal, but what is the big goddamn deal?
The song isn't even that good...

A song with lyrics I can't understand and a melody I don't like.
I won't miss the track. To each his own, hmm?

I'd much rather have Bruce's awesome score over that scene too! When Gohan talks all through the scene with that music playing it makes me feel so much emotion.

Nothing was even mentioned about the Faulconer track, where did that aggression come from? All we said was it didn't matter either way if the track was in or not because we didn't enjoy Legendary Masterpiece that is "Spirit vs Spirit" as much as you guys seem to.

Whether or not the song is good is very arguable. It's definitely not something I would ever put on my Zune or enjoy listening to on it's own, but when it is played in that scene it just fits so well (if you like the Japanese feel of the show). The biggest problem is with Funi's false advertising, where they say that the first audio track contains "all of the original Japanese BGM". Not to mention the fact that now one of the most dramatic and pivotal scenes in the entire show will be seen by millions of fans with zero BGM, which must take away a lot of the desired effect.
The biggest reasons I see this not to be a big deal is that most of the people that will watch this won't know that they are missing the song and the song is included in the Japanese audio track (which is by far the best one and the right one to listen to if you are this worried about hearing it as it was meant to be heard).

Aggression...say wha? I was being serious, I love that monologue Gohan makes over that rockin' piece of music for the rest of the episode.

I guess I should've said
sarcasm
But really though, neither myself or Remix said anything about the Faulconer track, simply that we didn't hold Spirit vs Spirit as a sacred piece of music like the rest of you guys.

Okay but don't lump me in with those people who like that weird Japanese song I can't even understand! When I first saw that scene in the manga I had my friend come over and slam on his synthesizer while I read the panels over and over again. Now that Funimation finally fulfilled that dream for me I don't need Freddy anymore when I read my Dragonball manga.

OK you have me honestly confused right here
Are you sarcastically slamming the Faulconer-ized scene from the dub or do you really prefer it to the god send that is "spirit vs spirit"

Dude how many times do I have to say how hardcore that beat is!? I love that song, I hate that spirit crap, the last thing I need to hear when I watch a cool show like Dragonball is some girlie shit about birds and nature and a spirit or whatever that weird song was about.

I've got to say...Even though I love Spirit Vs.Spirit...The scene with no BGM at all was actually pretty cool.
Edit: Oh, also...I'm taking Screencap requests if anyone's curious how certain scenes look.

Yup. If people are talking about songs being removed, it's from the English Dub w/Japanese Music track. The Japanese mono track has everything intact.

Yeah Gozar, it would be cool if you could do that. On the first page there is this cool dragonbox shot of Gohan, can you make a cap of that, also some randoms, but not big big big spoilers

would be cool too.

You're referring to this, right?
I'm assuming it is since it's not horribly saturated like FUNi's old releases.

I'm curious about this as well. This episode looked HORRIBLE on FUNi's original disc.

I just watched it with the song again.
It made me think of Des'ree - You Gotta Be playing in the background. I don't think I'm supposed to laugh during such an important scene.

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that during the Cell Game the animation style of the characters faces changed pretty dramatically?
