Agreed. Thanks,

I'm not going to lie, this is the first time ever that I've honestly been tempted to pick one of these up. Yeah, I picked up season one just to see what it would be like (
before ultimately being dissatisfied and boycotting), but I've never really been excited for one before. Plus, I only recently just remembered how awesome the anime adaption of the Cell Saga was, especially when it got to the Cell Games.
Dammit, why must such a beautiful thing have such an unforgiveable flaw!?

I definantly need to pick this season up because I mistakenly bought Season 5 thinking it was going to go all the way through the Cell Game......Yeah, I'm an idiot.

Oh yeah, it's wildly inconsistant. I swear there were some episodes where SSJ Gohan looked like a completely different person
Also, those shots of Gohan doing the Kamehameha look really good.

Yeah the animation style changes every so often ( do I need to break out my Vegeta III comparison picture?

) but I just always noticed that the faces were drawn differently during the Cell Game, even the sweat got drawn differently.

The quality of this season set makes me extremely happy....yet extremely sad that we didn't get this quality for the first 2 seasons.

Put your hand down now. The comparison is unthinkable and outrageous to even the layman. It's mindblowingly bad even if the usual suspects are suspected. Lazy mistake or diliberate? What is it?

According to whom? Personally, I love the season sets but I'm not nearly as picky as some of the people here.

The sheer non-crappiness of those images is astonishing. Seriously, if not for the cropping, I'd actually say that looks *gasp* almost like Dragonbox-quality!

But technically speaking the DBZ Movies were never intended to be seen in 4:3 yet I recall in the past people hailing Funimation for giving us them in 4:3 as opposed to 16:9.

I can explain the change in art:
Back in The Cell Games saga, Toei brought in a new Animation studio entitled Studio Cockpit to do some of the episodes, starting with episode 179. It's my favorite style in the series. It's awesome.

Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

That's fine and dandy... So let us opposers of the heads-and-feet-cut-off thing, be picky and haters.
I have seasons 1 and 2 BTW, that I want to sell (condition like new) - willingly to anyone here who wants them, through PayPal.. Please PM me if you're interested.

Oh I didn't know that.. (sorry I haven't been following discussions on that matter to closely... But I oppose that too now that you mention it) I was referring to cropping of tops and bottoms and digital toothpaste, and whatnot...

Holy shit, this is the closest the sets have ever gotten to the Dragon Box. I actually like the Remastered pic more.

This is amazing! Season 3, 4 and 5 looked really close to the Dragon Boxes, but were just a tad blurry and were a bit too bright. Now season 6 looks just as good as their Remastered movies, if not better and rivals the picture quality of the Dragon Box!
If only they had this quality from the beginning, then the people who complain would only complain about the cropping (which seems to be even less this time with even more on the sides than before) and far less would be boycotting it. It's a darn shame that the earlier seasons were just a way to test new waters.
I am even more excited about this set than ever now!
