King Cold and his forms

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

Honestly, I don't think the series would end right with the Frieza saga. I mean, I'd tweak the Cell and Buu arcs signifigantly, but I wouldn't eliminate them.

Gohan would have actually taken the torch from Goku, and Mr. Satan would save the day in the Buu arc. ;)

Mr.Satan did save the day. Without him the universe dies.

Mary Sue equals inserting yourself into a series. Any other definition is wrong.
It always annoys me when I see stuff like that because it's completely and utterly wrong. Yes, a lot of Mary-sues are self-inserts. But the term was not coined for SIs and, in fact, it's original usage was not for an SI character at all. The term has no relation to SIs aside from the fact that SIs often end up as Sues. Any attempt to define Mary-Sues as having ever pertained specifically to SIs is wrong and incorrect.

Twice.

If not for him Gohan would have never gone SSJ2 against Cell. And then Earth wouldn't have given up its energy to Goku to kill Buu. So either one of them would have wiped out everyone if not for Hercule.
Fair enough. I wouldn't mind seeing an alternate universe story like that to show what could have been, to be honest. XD
....

Damnit.

I've already got a load of Fanfics I'm doing but... this looks like it could be interesting.

And it prevents some old guy on some backwater world from creating a bunch of machines and cyborgs that are somehow several times more powerful than the strongest being in the universe. Heh.

No thats the actual definition. It originated in a parody of Star Trek self insert fan fiction. Thats the definition.

No, it isn't, and no it did not. It originated in a prody of Star Trek wish-fullfilment stories. The character the term was derived from was not a self-insert and the characters it was a parody of were not all SIs. Thus, as I said, the term was not coined for SIs and the original usage was not for an SI character at all and it has no relation to them aside from the fact that a large number of SIs turn out to be Sues.

I prefer him blubbering for mercy, then trying to shoot Goku down with the energy he got from him, only to have Goku obliterate him. Killed by the guy he finally pushed too far.

I have a thing for old, major villains making major entrances out of nowhere.

I have often toyed with the prospect of Freeza drifting in space throughout the Cell arc. (Trunks never kills him) Then a mechanized form comes down and deals essentially the same damage to the Earth as Majin Buu does. Then cue a great battle with lots of Vegeta/Piccolo/Freeza drama and flashbacks, with Goku and the Nameks of New-Namek creating a spirit bomb that finally ends the vile tyrant.

Yeah, and that's why I'm not a writer.

Actually, that's not too bad, really. It just requires some tweaking and twinking. You could have him meet the Big Gette Star instead of Cooler. Or have Babidi come across him on his way to Earth and magically repair and restore him. Or invent some space scientist or wizard or entity or cosmic force or any number of other things.

Hell, first time I saw Cell's shadow in the previews? Yeah, I'd thought Freeza was back again. The little head things looked like his horns and then there was the tail... yeah.

This is news to me. I am glad, because I never liked the idea of someone even stronger than Freeza just showing up out of nowhere.
Well then...

I and my friend always liked it when he'd say that as his intro in B3, 'cause we'd then beat his face in as SSJ1 Goku or Vegeta.

Vegetto was in Budokai 3? I couldn't tell, since Goku was a moron and decided to throw the Potara to the enemy every time. That is, when he decided he actually wanted to throw it instead of just floundering about with only a single-stacked Kamehameha and needing to yell "I'm gonna try to use a super move on you! Just letting you know! Please hold still so I can use it!" and turn bright red then attempt to uppercut the enemy before throwing instead of, oh, I dunno, teleporting over and handing it to Vegeta SO I CAN ACTUALLY PLAY AS MY FAVORITE GODDAMN CHARACTER MAYBE ONCE IN THE WHOLE TIME I PLAY THIS FUCKING GAME

Uh... I don't know what to tell you... Hyper Mode is not good for re-enacting epic battles from DBZ? Dragon Ball Z video games are not accurate? But I know how you feel... I actually forgot about Vegetto being in Budokai 3. In Budokai 2, he was actually awesome and a fun character to play with!

I can have two favorite characters.

Besides, I've grown used to the cold reality that nobody will make her a playable character except the game I can't stand and Tenkaichi 3's assholery in including a version of her that never even fought once and makes you look at 12-year-old bikini-clad ass if you play as her. Good job, you sick fucks.
And eh... you sort of are like Chi-Chi. o_O
I am unsure how to react to that.

Well, we certainly aren't talking about King Cold! lol
I wanted to be witty!

I don't think Rocketman is like Chi-Chi at all. He doesn't makes us all go and study all day for one. Secondly...Chi-Chi talks like a hick. Rocketman writes like an intelligent person, so I can safely assume he can speak properly.
I sure he is his own human being/person.

I was just kidding. :P Rocketman's a cool dude. True, having two favorite characters is possible. Anyway... yeah, the only game to really have Adult Chi-Chi playable was obviously Super DBZ. Kid Chi-Chi sort of fought.. well, not exactly. And about King Cold.. I think he was in his second form. I know Cooler was in his Fourth Form when he fought Goku in (English dub) Cooler's Revenge. But I think we all know that. lol
