What are people's opinion on GT?

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

All that does is raise the same questions that was brought up concerning #19, the same issues apply with Metallic.
The Saiyans are very much like the Klingons and Jem'Hadar.

TOEI just fucked up.
Really, I hate to sound like a parrot, but trying to make sense of all of GT's plotholes and problems will only result in a lot of headaches with no answers.

Perhaps for others but I have my answers and I am content with them and if they help others to enjoy the show, I am happy with that as well. :)

Couldn't Gero have built some replica androids of 19 and Metallic while in Hell?

That's right, I forgot all about his fully-stocked and -equipped spare lab down there, where he often hopped down to use his physical, corporeal body to fiddle around with robotics on the weekends.

But how'd a lab get into hell?

How did Super 17 come to be? Didn't he create a secondary 17 and fuse them or something?

That's something I never understood about the Super 17 arc. How in the hell do you create an android down in hell? I can understand if it was a demon, but an android. It just doesn't make any sense at all.

Anybody else think GT would have worked better if it was merely about 28th Budokai-era Pan (instead of kid Goku), adult Goku (who would rarely fight in SSJ levels), and Uub living out new adventures instead of rehashed of those found throughout DB?

Side-note: I'd love to see a story about Goku taking Pan and Uub to the Demon Realm (or whereever Dabura's from) for some reason. To get there, they'd need Neko Majin's use of magic. In exchange for taking them, he'd make Goku promise to train him. In other words, Goku would consider this as a great way to train Uub, so it would take place after book 42, but serve to bridge Neko Majin and Neko Majin Z.

Magic.
Or science? :P

What bothered me is that villains in anime filler and in GT are always given the uber-rare and prestigious right to keep their bodies. WTF is that about?! Aside from try to take over the cosmos, what would they do with their bodies? :?

That one there I have not thought about much, the only thing I can think of is that Dr. Mu had some neo-machine mutant ability to allow them to acquire the parts. Probably some transmutation ability of some sort, but this is only a guess.

Did they actually show a lab?

In the manga, Enma Daiô spoke of contending with Raditz upon his death, which would require a body, yet Toriyama provided a different explanation concerning what happens at death. Dragonball in its entirety leaves a lot of unanswered questions.

He used parts from the carnival rides.

That's just the implication Goku gets. If Radditz were nothing but a puff of cloud, Enma shouldn't -and didn't- have any problem putting him in his place.

Thought we do see a dog in heaven with a body pre-25th budokai, so maybe we don't have an in-story explanation thanks to Toriyama. :P

Which one is the 25th?

Daizenshuu 4 and 7 say he was human-based like No.17 and No.18. Also, during 17+18's conversation with No.16 about his creation, 17 wonders why Gero would have returned to making human-based androids if he had the ability to make completely artificial ones like 16, which implies that Gero's early androids like 8 would have been human-based. The 10th ann. movie does seem to show him as being mechanical, but that's clearly not in the same continuity as the main series.

The first one in the Buu arc, where Kaioshin shows up.

Even if Number 8 was fully mechanical, why wouldn't he be brought back? The Earth and all the technology on it was wished back, wasn't it? If all the cars and capsules and everything were back, a robot should be too.

I seemed to have forgotten but was Metallic considered one of Dr. Gero’s earlier Artificial Humans?

Also note that he eats, drinks and sleeps in the manga.
