Good point, just look how much damage he did to Chi Chi by patting her on the back. Come to think of it she's stronger then an average human right?
She got to the final eight of the World Tournament, so I'd say yeah.

Oh Super Mario Bros 2, you are one hilarious yet awkward game with your vegetables and floating masks.
On hiatus.

Reeeally bad idea, since I doubt Goku ever had any experience with normal human training. His students'd be dropping like flies.
Not if he trained them the way Kami trained people as the base.
As for Chichi, she's in the top 3 strongest women on Earth.

... I'm confused. Does this somehow involve images comparing Goku the Radish farmer to Mario2's turnip-picking?
I tells ya. Dragonball: Mythologies.
"Before the fate of the universe was decided by who could scream the longest..."
"... There was a Namekian..."
And... ur... it somehow involves adult ChiChi from the 23rd tournament.

. This might be why I don't eat curly fries often.
I could really see someone like Tenshinhan being more likely to open a dojo. Kuririn maybe, if he didn't give up martial arts in favor of the family life.

Weren't there radishes in SMB2?
I think there were a variety of vegetables you could pick.
Anyways!
Tenshinhan's dojo would've been an awesome place. X3
I can totally see him teaching in one.
On hiatus.

Nobody on these forums. Nope.

I completely respect your opinion, and I respect you. I enjoyed discussing this with you, even if I don't completely agree.
If we're all here for a reason then I'm just visiting.
If it's held in your heart then you can't let go.

The only two people I know who've seen it are Sera (who draws DB oekaki at this site I visit) and Toyable (who everyone here knows as the AF doujinshi artist/writer).
On hiatus.

I haven’t been able to read every post on this thread made in the last couple of days, so have we heard what Julian's chances of getting to see this are? It seems unlikely (since to me he just doesn’t seem quite as conniving as Herms, who couldn't even make it into the theatre) but I guess there might be a chance.
I'm sure that he could at least find a way to talk to someone who knows someone who got to see it.

I've always wondered what happened to her, I've always assumed she was finally dragged away by men in white coats that worked in the mental hospital she had originally escaped from....
I think a sister of Vegeta's would have been more interesting, then a brother who looks practically the same only with a more boy-ish appearance.
She went looking for Tenshinhan. Since he moved from one mountainous area to the next, she never found him. Her only Z-era manga appearance never got published in the tankoubon because it was part of two 3-panel strips with a holiday-theme (published only during the Weekly Jump issues they originated from) during the Goku vs Freeza battle. Since we knew what Goku, Gohan, Krillin, Vegeta and Piccolo were obviously doing during the x-mas season, Toriyama drew everybody else at Kaio's, Roshi's, as well as Bulma hiding in the crevice. He also drew Lunch, who was STILL in some mountainous area looking around for Tenshinhan.
Thanks! That had been driving me crazy for years. :p

The Osaka screening was actually the very first one, before the Tokyo one, so his chance to see it has already passed. Mike says he's pretty sure Julian made no effort to go.

"Knowing" Julian from the podcasts it wouldn't surprise me if that's the case ^^;

I've got to say, though the action in this movie was a let down for me. I really liked the character interaxtion and the humerous moments. It really brought me back to the older days of DragonBall in addition to reminding me how much I LOVE all the filler during the 10 days before the Cell Games. *Thinks of Kuririn throwing a rock at Goku's head*
As for the canon of this movie...Even though there appear to be multiple contradictions in this movie. Considering the plot as a whole was created by Toriyama himself and so many elements seem to have Toriyama all over them, I really don't see any reason why the general plot and point of this movie can't be considering canon.

Err... wasn't it just a general plot idea he came up with? Such as the whole "Perhaps Yamcha started making a living playing baseball during the 5 years of peace after the battle with Piccolo" note.

And I consider that canon.
As far as I am concerned...The following is all Canon...
-Table
-Goku being a radish farmer for a short time
-Ava and Cado
-The party
Though I'm not actually sure...Has there been any confirmation yet as to how much involvement Toriyama had with this?

Why, though? I mean, sure, it was a Toriyama idea, but Toriyama also designed a good chunk of the movie villains, and those movies have a whole bunch of problems. And, Toriyama himself has said that he considers the movies to be "what-if stories" or alternate universes.

Not that I've heard of, other than it was from an idea of Toriyama's.

Designing characters and coming up with plot elements are 2 vastly different things here.

The only problem with canonicity I see is related to the Buu memory-wiping wish, and if one really wants that to fit it doesn't require too much stretching.
There are the various "surviving saiya"-related comments throughout the series... But somehow I thought we got around those...
... That, and this expanded the universe just enough to enable my dasterdly plans.
