"I'm not ready for this..." What the hell? Who is this guy? And a prophecy... could they be any more cliche?

There's in a cave, and it's spinning, so I'm pretty sure that it is some sort of drill (and since it is so big and they are probably pretty deep in the ground the only way I can see them getting that tool down there is with a capsule!!! [/wishful thinking]).DBHighDefinition wrote:Did any one else notice that at 00:42 Yamcha is holding some sort of minigun...

Just some screenshots I wanted to point out:
*Spoiler Alert*

This seems to be the symbol worn by one of the people that Chi-Chi fights. Does anyone recognize it from anywhere? It's be awesome if it's Taio Pai Pai, but I would have used a different symbol to replace "Kill You".

There seems to be 4 dents in the windshield, and I doubt it's from Goku trucking him into hitting his own car 4 times in a row!
It could mean that they are willing to retake scenes in order to get them right...which is a good thing
It could also mean that while filming they were too lazy to fix the props for re-takes...which is a bad thing.

Yamcha has a lightsaber!

It seems like Mai has a jet-pack, which to me seems like it will be pretty corny.
First of all, if they are giving her a jet-pack it might be so that she can fight Goku or someone else in the air, and all of the fighters that are able to fly should be way out of her league, so this part of the movie has a lot of potential to really tick me off.

Piccolo has his anime hand! (Hint=5 fingers as apposed to the 4 that he should have)

Aren't we moving into nitpick territory?
1. There's nothing in that 1 minute that screams the level of cheese in MK:A. I'm not saying that it won't be that bad, just that saying it *is* going to be that bad is heavily premature.
2. Calling out the characters? If that's the makr of a bad product, then I guess X2 must have sucked ass.

Actually the first one too.

Not my favorite flick in the world, but I most certainly enjoy the second. And I don't think they were generally viewed as pieces of shit that hurt the franchise.
And... Sin City, anyone?

This isn' a movie, but what about this little gem?

So, no offense kiddies, but chill the fuck out
It's just an advertising technique used for these types of movies for the mainstream viewers.
EDIT: For shits and grins I looked up the MK:A trailer... OK OK, I see where the concerns come from

But this movie doesn't have any American Gladiators in it, right? Right??
To be fair, the MK trailer isn't much better, and that movie was halfway decent.

To show my appreciation, I'll only beat them half to death.

It's #1 on my list of things that upset me about the adaption.
My lowest common denominator for this film will be Goku's personality. IF he is written in character, I can (mostly) let the rest of this ridiculousness about an eclipse and Vampiccolo slide; but if he's all "Oh, what light through yonder window breaks--" then that's about it for me.
And I say this as a fan of the Goku/Chi-Chi pairing.
The image on his back looks like the one sakura inking pens uses. ^^;

Except that it looks like Chi-chi's... fighting Mai?Ducard wrote:I wouldn't be surprised if that's Mai diguised as Chi Chi trying to seduce Goku.
Edit: I'm not trying to be sarcastic, I'm just slightly less than 100% that it's Mai. Kind of looks like it, though.
Edit 2: Though it occurs to me in hindsight that you may have been referring to Chi-chi kissing Goku on the trailer... In that case, maybe!

If challenge had a taste, you'd be quite delicious.
Yes, sorry for being unclear.Edit 2: Though it occurs to me in hindsight that you may have been referring to Chi-chi kissing Goku on the trailer... In that case, maybe!
Here's the info from Mai straight from the casting bio's:
Here's the shot right directly preceding the make-out shot:[MAI] Late 20s, female, her features exotic, sexy but deadly, dressed in gleaming black, with weapons strapped all over her body, she's a martial arts expert and Lord Piccolo's chief enforcer. Crafty and quick thinking, Mai uses her ability to shapeshift near the climax of the movie and takes on the form of Chi Chi, a young martial arts expert who's romantically involved with Goku and later saves Piccolo from Master Roshi's curse; once she is revealed she ends up in the fight of her life.

So it looks like Chi Chi fights... herself, or at least Mai disguised as her. I think Fox just switched the order around for the trailer-- Mai tries to seduce Goku, then has to fight the real Chi Chi.
