Psst. All solar eclipses look like that. It's called the diamond ring effect, when the Sun shines through the mountains on the edge of the Moon's disc.

Wow Gozar sure has an opinion alright.

"You are WRONG! I AM RIGHT!"

....Real mature.

I hadn't realized until these LAM threads that DB fans are some of the most closed-minded people on earth. Seriously. Give the movie a break. I for one will not have an opinion until I see the full movie, which is what most of you should be doing. The trailer looks ok. Some odd choices in there but whatever it's the first teaser. The first Teaser for Transformers was awful same for the new Hulk movie. If the regular full trailer stinks too, oh well, guess I'll just, umm SEE THE MOVIE, and then give a valid opinion.

EDIT: also I can't believe the argument about Goku not being Japanese is coming up AGAIN, give ME a fucking break.

It's just the icing on the cake, as far as I'm concerned.

And don't forget Chi-Chi. Jamie Chung can summon my Dragon anyday.
Oh good gawd. XD

Idunno, for some odd reason Jamie doesn't seem very attractive to me. Her look is a little generic imo, but there's no denying that she's got a smoking hot body, and an awesome smile to boot.

So opinions opinions..

girlfriend - " stop showing me this, why'd they even call this 'Dragonball'? "
little sibling - " looks lame " *walks off

My opinion as of now? It looks as if this film would've been pretty exciting to see. IN THE 90s! In short, this film is like a big hot steaming tub of poop, and Piccolo, Mai and Bulma is the little godly delicious Cupcake stuck on the surface. :)

Psst back at ya', I was being sarcastic about that one.

Some people give Heroes too much credit for the whole Eclipse effect, it's actually something I don't mind and think may be cool in this movie.

Toriyama himself mentioned that he took out most of the animal people once the story became more serious (i.e. the "Z" era). This movie is just a "Dragon Ball Z" version of Dragon Ball, really, so...

Really, how many animals do you remember seeing when #19 and #20 were attacking that city? Hint: none. :D

Right. Except for the Dog King watching the Cell Games.

And I was referring specifically to the lack of humor that was present in Dragonball. Yeah, by the Cell Saga most of the humor is dead.

Lol from what I understand Goku is gonna want a hot dog more than watching chi-chi fight in the tournament.

I never said they didn't exist anymore. Just that, once the story got serious, he stopped drawing them. Sure, there's Oolong, Puar and the king (who shows up for one page in the manga), but they weren't important anymore.

But yeah, you point about the humor is true. But as you said, there wasn't much humor in the Cell arc, and this is basically "DBZ" Dragon Ball, so...

Trust me, this happens every time a movie like this comes out. It's not specifically the Dragon Ball fans. Star Trek fans, Star Wars fans, comic book fans, literature fans, they're all the same when a movie comes out based on their favorite thing.

Not having an opinion till you see it is a mature stance though.

LOL at Gozar. "I don't care if it's the best movie ever, if it's not faithful, I will not like it." A bit close minded. I do have to note he did say he didn't want it COMPLETELY faithful. His main gripe was with Goku's line and the Kiss thing. That's kinda overreacting. :?

AMEN. I am SOOO in the same page about Bulma and Mai. Seriously disturbing. Bulma is what presently disturbs me the most (out of tons of shit more). Come on, Bulma wasn't biker chick, clad in PVC. Gah

I thought that today too, and it's true. ^^; But that doesn't mean I'm not feeling forlorn over the sacrifices.

Chat-ku wanting a hot dog just doesn't make up for it to me. Particularly because I think if there's one thing Goku would pass over food for it'd be to watch a fight.

There wasn't a whole lot of rollicking good belly laughs in the King Piccolo Saga either... Or any, come to think of it.

Well, no, there was one humorous moment, when Roshi commented on Bulma's panties being dull gray.
