Speculation is good, as long as it does not sound like an attack. And since you are kind enough to be gentle with me, I will try to explain my situation.SSj_Rambo wrote:He hasn't said why, but he has been asked that question several times.shotkeeper wrote:Maybe I missed something, but why doesn't someone who has the sheets. Post them here? I even read previous pages again, but found nothing.
Perhaps the reason they are being released to us so slowly is because he is creating them himself! It's not like we've had confirmation that these designs were used in the special or were even created by Toei or Jump or Toryama! I'm not doubting you Wasted Wisher, I do believe that these are legitimate, I'm just speculating for the sake of speculating.
1. My home computer is dial-up, and trying to send all of these pictures on a dial-up connection would take longer than I have patience for.
2. I spend 6 days a week at my place of work. I have no broadband internet connection from there, so no chance of me sending the pics from work.
3. My budget here in the Third World is so tight, I can only afford to use the internet cafe every payday (15th and end of the month), so I can only send my pics through there every two weeks or so.
4. I haven't had time to look into how Imageshack works yet.
So, to all of those that PM'ed me your e-mail addys, I will send you copies of these files maybe by the end of the month. If I can manage to do it sooner, I will. In the meantime, I thank you for your trust and patience.
As for the validity of these model sheets...I can definitely assure you they came from Toei. As to whether or not Toriyama actually drew any of them himself, I do not know. Most of these model sheets were recycled from the old series, with new digital-based color palettes chosen. Nowadays animation is "painted" by computer, whereas back when DBZ was still running it was still manual cel-painting. Some of the newer drawings...who knows? Maybe they were done by an assistant of his from Bird Studio, or one of the animation directors/chief key animators from the studio back in Japan who is used to drawing in Toriyama's style. Or any combination of the above.
And while we're on the subject...I feel there is something I must tell you. I did Photoshop one of the model sheets. (JUST ONE!) The particular sheet in question is the one of Prof. Briefs (Bulma's dad). They miscolored the cigarette in his mouth with "open mouth" colors, which are the colors you see in a character's mouth when it is fully open (color of the tongue, the inside of the cheek, etc.). I couldn't stand looking at it knowing it was wrong, so I fixed the colors before I made the final scan and converted it into a jpeg.
But I swear to Kami-sama, that is the only pic I touched up. Everything else was just as I received it.
Security was tight, and they made sure nobody was recording anything.Olivier Hague wrote:Not really.Chuquita wrote:Anyone else find it strange how its been almost a month and we have yet to see any actual videoclips and/or screenshots that aren't scanned out of magazines?
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

Thats fine, I think all of us would point that out if you hadn't fixed that. I can't wait to see these sheets, thank you again Wasted Wisher! D: I feel really bad, you don't get to take a break for long, and every 2 weeks your able to go to the internet cafe. Again, thanks so much for sharing these sheets with other Dragonball fans ^_^.Wasted Wisher wrote:

I truly didn't mean me for post to be an attack, and I'm glad you understand that. You didn't even have to explain anything to me, I totally trust you and am very glad for your dedication to providing us with these despite the obstacles.Wasted Wisher wrote:Speculation is good, as long as it does not sound like an attack. I can crop away the blue borders and the drop-shadows on all of the new character designs that are up on the main page if anyone wants them and can't do it themselves.

If I get a hold of it, I will most certainly pass it on. Just send me a PM so I can keep it in my inbox as a reminder that I need to pass it on if I get myself.shotkeeper wrote:Yes and then if U get it, can you pls send it to meSaiyan-Professor wrote:If Wasted Wisher does not have the time to e-mail me a copy of the files can someone else that did it get pass it on to me?. I also asked Wisher himself, but just in case.
The Saiyans are very much like the Klingons and Jem'Hadar.

Enjoy!Kanzentai.com wrote:Before leaving for his wedding, VegettoEX was gracious enough to send me all of the character design sheets from the new Jump Anime Tour special, "Heya! Son Goku and Friends Return!!" I know a lot of people have been asking for these (including myself), and over the past couple of days he had been posting a few of them on Daizenshuu EX. So now, we're releasing all 59 character design sheets for all to see! A huge thanks to VegettoEX for sending these to me, and also to Wasted Wisher, for getting these sheets in the first place.

Does this mean that like an idiot Vegeta shows up at the grand opening in his Capsule Corp., Battle Jacket?
He never really was much of a master of fashion (though to Vegeta's credit he usually had more presentable earth-wear than some of the non-gi outfits Goku's worn).
I'm just thrilled to see Launch; I was worried she wasn't going to show up at all.
Also, older Dende is awesome. :3
On hiatus.
