Next Double Feature to be Movies 7 & 9 (And GT Season 2)

Totally called Gogeta for season two. As for the double feature, Vegeta? But... the Bojack movie. It's GOHAN's movie.

This is a pisser. If they're releasing the movies like this, then we know that the next set will be a triple feature of all three Broli movies. Where's the consistency? (More to the point, how the fuck are they gonna package three movies into a Double Feature case?) I'm only glad that FUNI doesn't have the movies numbered right on the box. -_-

It doesn't particularly matter, per se, and I guess in the long run this was the only thing FUNimation could do to make sure that Movie 13 gets paired with another movie. But it's just . . . dammit. It irks me. The movies aren't just numbered by order, they happened in order. Movie 8 takes place before Movie 9. Now, in watching the movies per FUNi's new order, it looks like Gohan has a mental defect that keeps him from whipping out SSJ2 against Broli when that same form is what obliterates Bojack just one movie before.

Now I don't normally bash FUNi, mostly because I think the crap they put out speaks for itself (and I don't want to be a hater), but wow! USSJ Vegeta from the anime and not the movies?! Really?! No SSJ2 Gohan from the actual movie?! Why am I not surprised? By the way, I so called the omission of DBZ Movie 8 from this tin-box movie release. Of course FUNi is going to take the fan favorite Brolli and pull it out of order, just so it can be next to the other Brolli movie. Since there are an odd number of DBZ movies, I wouldn't at all be surprised to see a Brolli "triple threat" tin-box release.

I'm feeling a little pissy concerning the cover for Season Two of DragonBall GT, too, but that's more about my personal preferences and less along the lines of concensus logic-- I personally would have preferred SSJ4 Vegeta over Gogeta, but that's just the way the cookie crumbles.

More to the point, I'm surprised to see a second cover image this early. Season One is still more than a month away from release, an' all.

SSJ2 Gohan is still on the cover of the Double Feature, just in the BG though. And I've never really had a problem with the Season Set choices up till the recent Goku/Piccolo covers, but something just dont look right about that GT Season 2 choice.

No offense, but I don't think there are going to be that many people buying these movies that don't know about the order of the films. And keeping continuity? Comon guys, Toriyama doesn't even keep continuity. Hell, if anyone has been keeping up with the Dragonbox Movie Singles they'll see that they are putting out Dragonball movies 1, 2, and 3 as movies "#15, #16 and #17."

I'd much rather have a 7 &9 set and a 8, 10 & 11 set. Mainly because 11 is a rushed out money grab by Toei (despite that, I still love it, as it was my first fansub ever). Even better, I'm going to get a sweet Movie 12&13 set down the road.

I honestly don't have a problem with the next double feature pairing movies 7 and 9. As mentioned, packaging all the Broly movies into the next set (we are assuming that now, right?) is a logical step in order to couple movie 13 with movie 12. While the movies do have some kind of order to them, it's not like people see all the movies as one big continuity (okay, scratch that; I'm sure some do, but still...).

Firstly, what does Toriyama have to do with this? He himself is not releasing any DVDs and has nothing to do with these releases!

Secondly, I don't know why some people are having problems grasping this concept, but the numbering system used for the Dragon Box The Movies individual discs do not have anything to do with the actual movie release order numbers, but rather the volume number within the 17 volume collection. Personally I don't know why they're doing it in that order, except that the Z movies will sell better, but you shouldn't really have a problem with this. All 13 Z movies are released in their original order, and then all 3 DB movies are being released in their original order. They simply swapped the two series, which is completely different than what FUNi is doing.

If there's any movie that you could debate that Vegeta used USSJ, it's against Brolli in DBZ Movie 8 which is not in this release.
