For comparison's sake, here's a (non-related) sketch of a hairy werewolf from the movie's creature designer: http://a.tuis.free.fr/images_color/OZ.jpg
Wow, that looks pretty cool.

The mask looks pretty similar, just a bit more alien-looking and with no hair (yet?).

@ MisterFlashdude - I can see Bardock the Mexican's point. We're 8 pages in, probably going on 60+ unless it gets locked. And the bulk of it will just be people asking if this is a finished version or not. The bottom line is we don't know, but that won't stop people from declaring it to be the finished product and proof of the film's inevitable failure. A number of these statements will be expressed in a matter-of-fact way, and some people who disagree will be accused of not respecting opinions.

@Acid Reign - I tend to think it's unfinished because it looks more like a bust than a screen cap to me. I know I could be wrong, but it just has that feeling to me. The hair-like detail could just be the base work that will be extrapolated on, if that is indeed the case. Also, the gi is intact. I thought it was confirmed that this thing was going to stand a good deal taller than a normal person (though not nearly as tall as an in-series Ozaru). Unless Roshi makes his uniforms out of unstable molecules, a fully transformed Goku should cause some damage to his outfit.
To show my appreciation, I'll only beat them half to death.

Fox confirmed to me it was real by sending my host an infringement notice. Luckily I have a fair host.

All they can really do at this point are ADR and CGI touch-ups. Editing too. Fox aren't looking back.

Wait a sec, I thought the stars in the balls were gonna be CG. This apparently changed? And what's with the size difference... Maybe that's not a real prop?

Fox has got to have the stupidest marketing department ever. ComingSoon.net reports that Wolverine's trailer will premiere with TDTESS.

Now, there's 3 possibilities.
1) Fox will premiere BOTH trailers with TDTESS.
2) Fox will premiere Dragonball's trailer BEFORE TDTESS.
3) Fox will wait until 2009 to promote the movie.

And since this is Fox, 3) is probably right.

I remember when I was thinking October 17th was a long wait.

Dadgummit.

I suppose there's a slim chance they'll show both trailers, but it's not very likely now. Damnit, Fox, stop making me wait.

It doesn't take this image to make me think that. I thought that a long time ago and so far nothing, except one Japanese poster, has made me have hope of otherwise. While that Japanese poster did give me hope, there's a bunch of other stuff outweighing that hope.

You're not going to change my mind, you're not going to be able to make me wait until a later time to judge, and you're not going to be able to stop me from expressing my current feelings on the matter. End of story.

(I meant that as a collective "you", by the way)

However, there's nothing wrong with me changing my mind, either. So, if I do see something that makes me go, "This movie is officially awesometastical," then great! If not, it's no skin off my nose because, while I don't like what I see so far, I'm not being an angry fanboy about it. It'll just be something forgettable to me... like the third Ninja Turtles movie.

Picture's gone, anyone care to share? :)
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
He's referring to the X-Men and Fantastic Four movies respectively, also by Fox.

That was, without a doubt, the (quite literally)biggest comic book movie let down I've ever had.

That, and I don't really like the FF movies anyway.

I had to post this, because this is possibly one of the worst articles I have ever read. This person clearly has no idea what they are talking about.

A Glimpse of Dragonball's Altered Beast

6 November 2008 5:25 AM, PST | From Reelzchannel.com | See recent ReelzChannel news

Remember Altered Beast, that sweet Sega Genesis game in which a player could swole up into a giant bear, werewolf, or other suitably menacing creature? That's kind of what happens when the characters in the Dragon Ball manga series transform into "Super Saiyans."

Thus far, leaked footage of the new Dragonball movie has revealed precious little about what role Super Saiyans might play in James Wong's highly anticipated big-screen adaptation. Today, however, the intrepid folks at comicbookmovie.com unveiled a pic of what appears to be Dragonball main character Goku in his ape-like Super Saiyan form. From the looks of it, Wong's showing a preference for practical effects over CGI.

Personally, I think the pic looks like something from the set of the new Land of the Lost flick. Wong might want to give Weta a call.

Has anyone else thought that this just might possibly, in the faintest bit of hope just be some failed clone/copy of Goku? Doesn't Piccolo basically just clone his little Fulum people? And can't Mai pretty much shape shift into anyone? I'm know that it sounds like I'm being ridiculously optimistic...and I am.

Oh ya, that little article is also on IMDB.
