Live Action Ozaru Goku leaked?

Yeah I thought about that too. While I was not a fan of Enterprise, the Andorian's look really good. They could have easily done that with Piccolo. Why they did not is yet another "WTH!?" with what we have seen so far. As for that leaked "Oozaru" picture, who really knows what it really means. Still the idea of Son Goku transforming all big and furry in this film is of some, small comfort to me. When the Andorians made their debut in the original Star Trek, their antennae were exactly as you described-- stiff, motionless material that came jutting out from the actor's head. Makeup and special effects have come a long way since then.
You can see the antennae in action here. (Check out 00:27!)
Personally, I'd love to see these on a live-action Piccolo. Tres cool.

Well that's a relief. That pic was enough to test even MY cheery optimism.

Personally I think that would be awesome, knowing that I helped in the making of the Dragonball movie, even if it was in the most minuscule of ways.JAPPO wrote:Part of me thinks Fox is using our blogs/forums as resources to see fan reaction and change stuff based on that.
I know the marketing department must be. . . hopefully the filmmakers too. I mean, they wouldn't be doing reshoots for no reason.

Enterprise was far from the best Trek series, but it did some amazing things with makeup and special effects. I can think of a lot of things from that show that could be applied to how FOX makes DragonBall, the antennae being the least of what I have in mind.Maphisto86 wrote:Yeah I thought about that too. But even so . . . I really, really wish that they would use 'em.
I'm very glad that they're trying to factor in the Great Ape transformation in whatever way they manage. It's a key part to Goku (and everyone else) coming to grips about his Saiyan heritage, or at least it was in the original show.Maphisto86 wrote:As for that leaked "Oozaru" picture, who really knows what it really means. Man they are really just fucking with people's emotions aren't they?
They'll put something out and be like "Oh that wasn't real it was just for show" or "Oh we aren't using that we just made it for fun." Ugh....
I completely respect your opinion, and I respect you. I enjoyed discussing this with you, even if I don't completely agree.

Actually, it's not their fault. They haven't really "officially" released very much. Things getting leaked is not their fault, rather it's kind of our own fault for snooping so much. Naturally there's going to be things we're not meant to see yet or at all.Chrono Trigger wrote:Man they are really just fucking with people's emotions aren't they? They'll put something out and be like "Oh that wasn't real it was just for show" or "Oh we aren't using that we just made it for fun." That's true. I just wish they would just put something and have it be good.

When we as fans stress over individual details like this, it's very hard to be objective toward the movie in general because so many negative reactions-- especially when those are the only reactions some of us tend to have-- can color your mind into thinking that the whole thing is gonna suck. In reality, we've been given so few real and official details that what we know is practically nothing in terms of scope for the entire picture, which should make it somewhat impossible for us to judge even at this late juncture.

So he turns greener as the movie goes on huh? That's nice to know I guess. Wouldn't it just have been easier to have him be green the entire time? Like in the Manga/Anime? I guess not because that would make entirely to much sense.

I think when he gets his wish he becomes younger? I don't know. Just a guess..Chrono Trigger wrote:So he turns greener as the movie goes on huh? That's nice to know I guess. They could have had him start out being old and green. Then he gets his wish and becomes young and green. On the other hand who am I to argue with creative changes?

Okay no one has really even commented on this picture so I assume you all like it?Chrono Trigger wrote:They could have had him start out being old and green. Then he gets his wish and becomes young and green. On the other hand who am I to argue with creative changes?

I'm going to find this image disturbing until I see.. uh.. "young" Piccolo.JAPPO wrote:Okay no one has really even commented on this picture so I assume you all like it?
But my problems, which I'm sure the optimism-spinners will correct me on...
1) "Old" Piccolo doesn't look old.
2) Don't like Paleiccolo, regardless of the excuse.
3) Don't much care for the flowery red robes and hoody.
And I think this we've gotten accustomed to seeing new threads for these big reveals, I think you'd get more of a response in a new thread.
