Episode #0151! VegettoEX and Meri give some initial thoughts on "DragonBall Z: Infinite World" for the PS2 and "DragonBall Origins" for the Nintendo DS. Various bits of news, Mike's Top 5 DB Video Games Of All Time, some releases, and great e-mails round out the episode. Referenced sites:
Go ahead and grab it. Big thanks to godofchaos for hosting the rather sweet *one-hundred-fifty-one* episodes, now.

I thought this was a really good episode. I hope you do, too :). Lots of sound samples along the way for listening goodness!

I think the ending song to Infinite World is called Dragon Ball Party. I read the title "Dragon Ball Party" in the credits, and it mentioned Hironobu Kageyama was the singer for the song, so I don't know what else they'd be talking about.

For missing characters you forgot Zarbon and Dodoria from Budokai 1, and Kid Goku from Budokai 3.

I think the opinion of the dub actors you guy's explained right here is probably the best I could ask for, or rather I think it's the the most mature and fair perspective on the whole thing middle-men like me could ask for.

Theres TONS to buy though, since every move has 3 or 4 levels to buy.

On the topic of the 'fandom' , I thought this was kind of funny/sad.

Regarding the Buu arc, I would have to vehemently disagree with Meri. I very much enjoyed the Buu arc (filler not included). There was just so much going on at that point in the series and so many new characters were introduced. I liked the fact that this arc was more laid back and it felt like a fresh start after the dramatic cell games sub-arc. Mr Satan's interaction with Buu is just hilarious and reminds me a lot of early Dragon Ball.

This is also a part of the series that is not completely centered around Goku, since a lot of the other characters play major roles. No one was relying on Goku to save the day until the final showdown when all else failed. Even with that being the case, Goku could have never defeated Buu without the help of Vegeta, Mr Satan, the Namekians, the Kaioshin, Dende, Porunga, and everyone else on Earth. One thing that always irked me about the cell games is that everyone just stood around and watched the fight. This is not true with the Buu arc since everyone is always doing something and no one just sits around.

My hidden views regarding the Buu arc will always remain an imperceptible enigma.

Seconded. The Buu arc is one of my favorite parts of all DragonBall-dom, and I've always felt it was criminally underrated.

This episode of the podcast actually comes to you courtesy of an exclusive Nintendo event.

As for the Buu arc; I loved it.

From having so many new characters, to the comedy, the Gohan finally becoming a b*d*ss as well as majin Vegeta finally becoming 'Vegeta' again

Easily one of my top 3 favorites.

YES! I'm not alone in how difficult it is to perform certain attacks w/Goku in DBDS/Origins!

*Feels slightly better*.

So that's how Zelda games usually play, huh? Interesting. (I don't know why but I've never gotten into Zelda before).

I like the Buu arc's silliness. Especially the Great Saiyaman stuff. Gohan makes for such a lovable dork during the entire thing, and I liked the sentai-esque parody.

(There's one point where Gohan stumbles into the making of a live-action Saiyaman movie and after taking part in it, the director--who looks exactly like Commander Red--complains to Gohan something to the effect that Gohan makes it look like he's making fun of Saiyaman when they're trying to make a serious action movie; and then Gohan flies off and everyone's in shock that it was the real Saiyaman. I dunno why, I just really like that--though now mostly due to allusions to the actual live-action movie. *Looks around and hopes no electronics suddenly explode*.)

I also enjoyed Goku and Vegeta adventuring together inside of Buu; the giant talking worms freaking Vegeta out, the slime freaking Vegeta out--he was almost a surrogate Bulma with powers during those few episodes and for some reason I found it hysterical.

The point of fusion for the earrings is humorous in an awkward way.

Also enjoyed the bobblehead theater movie the Tenkaichi Budoukai shows on that blimp before the start of the tournament--and I think this is one of those scenes where the dub nailed it simply because the bobbleheads were so ridiculous that it begged to be mocked.

There's more stuff I liked about it to, but...yeah. I'll leave it there. XD
On hiatus.

I really don't like the Boo stuff. I think it's because I really love the look and feel the show had in it's early years. I love how the early Saiyan saga looks almost like it's in the same universe as Ranma 1\2. I love those cheesy left over DB sound effects that we sometimes hear in DBZ. I like looking at that early stuff now and remembering what I was like when I first watched in on the international channel years ago and had no idea what was going on. But, besides all that... I really didn't like the waiting for Gohan to power up, the waiting while Boo was free to do as he pleased to the planet, and I absolutely hated Mr. Satans bull shit.

What did I like about it? I guess the whole fusion thing was cool... Goten and Trunks being kids entertained me a bit. But that's about it really. :?

1. Legacy of Goku 2
2. Budokai 3
3. Buu's Fury
4. Budokai Tenkaichi 3
5. Burst Limit
If challenge had a taste, you'd be quite delicious.
