Unknown DBGT Toys! Please Help!

Post by VenomSymbiote » Sun Nov 16, 2008 12:11 am

Hello!

I was recently browsing on the internet when I came across this:

http://media.photobucket.com/image/chi- ... i.jpg?o=27

It seems to be a toy in a series of figures [this one looks to be #38]. It also looks to be in a language that seems to be a variation of Spanish. It seems to say, "Collectible Figurines of your perferred heroes" on it.

Does anyone know what this is?

These were originally released by DeAgostini as the "I Tuoi Eroi En 3D" line of figures back in 2003 in Italy. The Chi Chi figure you found is one of the re-releases, which was released under the "Editions Atlas" line of figures in France. The only real difference between the two releases is that the original release has white bases, and the re-releases have black bases. You can check out some of the original figures at DragonBallToys. I hope that answers your question.

It does, and thanks, but do you happen to know which figures were released?

The best of the bunch I'd say. The rest are quite the disfigured lot, and spooky to boot.

I was just searching for a dragonball car sticker... (Don't ask me why) I have the urge to have a spankingly great orange dragonball sticker in my back window; blocking me from seeing objects.

Anyhow... This figurine popped up... Just when could you imagine the Prince of all Saiyans washing a car....

Hey guys, the toy in the first post is made by the French company Editions Altas, and you can see all the Dragonball figures that they made here:

http://www.supersaiyantoys.com/editionsatlas.html

The Atlas figures were all slightly altered re-releases of the Italian DeAgostini toy line. DeAgostini figure tend to be the higher quality of the two, but some of their figures are also very very nice as well. You can see all or most of the DeAgostini figures here: http://www.dragonballtoys.com/archive/i ... ?LineID=26

The simplest way to tell Atlas figures apart from DeAgostini, is that all Atlas bases are black, while the DeAgostini figures all have white ones. : )

All the best,

Wow. These toys are horrible. Must be the Lupin Vegeta collection.

Let me summarize:

DeAgostini figures were sold in Italy and have white bases.

Editions Atlas were sold in France and have black bases.

DeAgostini was the distributor for Spain of Editions Atlas figures on black bases. So if you see one of these figures on a black base, and the papers that come with it say DeAgostini, then it came from Spain.

They're really great figures, and to scale with the Bandai Super Battle Collection, Irwin, and Jakks figures.
