This was simply awesome. The animation, the computer efects. I'm also loving the look of the super saiyan hair.
But best of all was the humor, it really was a great thing Jump gave us, and hopefully its not the last of DB.

I loved her and Vegeta's interaction though. And her expression when seeing the Saiyans chow down at the end was great.

Other random thoughts/comments:

-Kame-sennin's woman-shaped radish was the freakiest thing ever. Also, anyone find it kind of interesting that Goku's growing his older brother's namesake?

-Another translation thing: the words for brother Vegeta and Tarble use for each other establish that Tarble is Vegeta's younger brother, which gets lost in the subs (although he obviously seems younger [which he really shouldn't, since logically he has to be at least as old as Goku, but whatever)]. Oh, and so far the only really awkward thing in the subtitles is Tarble calling Vegeta "Vegeta brother" (it's natural in Japanese, they just translated it too directly).

-For some reason I really love the character design for that blond female reporter that barges in on them.

-The character design for the lady with a hovering baby stroller looks like it was taken straight from the lady Goku asks for directions when he first visits West City.

Every time I heard a BGM that the Daizenshuu EX podcast uses, all I could think of when it played was......well, the podcast

Such as the bumper music for contests and Meri's Top 5.

I just love this special! I havn't litteraly laughed out loud to a show in a long time. But this had me rolling!

After seeing it I can sort of understand how Tarble would be Goku's age. I believe it's established that Saiyans age slower than humans, right? Vegeta's pretty short, so it could run in the family. And Vegeta states that Tarble was a weakling, so he could be the proverbial "runt of the litter." His voice didn't sound too immature.

You mean you've installed the browser and the anime won't start? Try pausing and unpausing it at least 15 seconds later. I noticed that as time went on, the streaming got worse. More users connecting, most likely. I'm sure this will hit the torrent trackers and YouTube by the end of the day.

At first I didn't think digital animation would suit this special. But it did well to my suprise. I enjoyed this special from beginning to end. It was fun and light hearted, which is something we all know Dragonball to be. The special also had action and comedy which was also awesome. It goes without saying that Funimation will get this special. But how will they treat it? This special goes against everything they have marketed the franchise to be in America. On second thought, I does make me wonder if they will get it and dub it correctly.

I'm close to the ending now. I certainly can't wait to download a divx rip of this OVA special. Then I can re-watch this on my 40 inch HDTV thru my PS3.

I'm noticing that I'm having a lot more trouble with skipping ands slowdown with the English version. With the Japanese, I just paused it for awhile at the very start, and after that it ran fine. But I'm having to pause several times with the English one. It could just be that I viewed the Japanese one earlier, and traffic wasn't so heavy then.

-Doesn't it seem like Tarble is under the impression that Vegeta is the one who defeated Freeza? And of course, Vegeta never corrects him.

-Probably something everyone figured out, but what the subs translate as "combat strength" is sentou ryoku/battle power/power level/what have you. It's a perfectly valid translation, but not used too often.

-Oolong in a maid outfit...what the bloody, bloody hell?

I can't wait to do that too! I just have to wait till christmas to get my TV.

That's exactly what I'm waiting on. I really hope this gets a Blu-ray release, but I'll definitely be importing the DVD regardless. It'll go together with my Dragon Box singles nicely.

The special is lagging on me! I've had the damn thing paused for 30 minutes and I still can't get through the first 3 seconds of the opening sequence before it starts lagging again. What the hell is going on?!

If it doesn't eventually come up on Amazon Japan, I can always get it from Yahoo Auctions as a last resort.
