Writers' excuse: you get to see everybody again! Stop complaining dammit!
They contributed far more energy to the final Genki Dama than the average human. That, and they threatened to beat the crap out of Satan and expose his weakness to the world if they weren't invited.

I was so, so happy to finally see it! I kept smiling the whole day, I already watched it twice ^^
I loved Goku and Vegeta fighting over silly things, I loved to see Gotenks again, I loved the opening, I loved every single character and their interactions with each other! God, I just loved the whole thing.
Unfortunately some characters didn't have a single line, but still it was great to see them! I didn't expect to see Lunch at all, I was really surprised. Anyone else noticed that she is blonde in the poster but has blue hair in the special? And some outfits are different too.
Love the fact that Bubbles had bananas in his plate, and Goku's and Vegeta's tables had wine bottles XD
Tarble and Gure/Gray were really cute, but I would have liked to see Tarble using some attack, despite being weak. And OMG, Bulma and Vegeta arguing, yes!
I think it wasn't necessary for Gotenks to use Yamcha's attack since Yamcha himself used it too a little later, but it did look cool though.
I could be talking about it all day, so I'll just stop it here. Such a fangasm!
jjgp1112 wrote:I wish it had end credits, though. Can you imagine Zenkai Power with Goten and Trunks?
I don't think it would change that much since the original is mostly Gohan running and running. But that doesn't mean it wouldn't be nice to see Goten and Trunks running and running as well =)

Yamcha actually uses the Sokidan and not the Rouga-fufu-ken (the attack Gotenks uses), but he has a wolf in the background when he does it, similiar to Rouga-fufu-ken. I guess it was just to make the Sokidan look even cooler.

OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!!!!!!! That was so hilarious!!! I laughed so hard, DragonBall Z is the greatest show ever!!

My sister and I spent about 3 hours last night watching with the lagging. The new opening was just so adorable.... Goten and Trunks!!!! I can't get enough of them, the opening brought me so much delight!

So many cute scenes. And.... fusion. I've been wanting another Gotenks fusion since way back when I realized GT wasn't giving one!! I love those kids!

Haha I thought it was a weird dramatic touch for Goten, Kuririn and Yamcha to throw off their party clothes and underneath were the orange gi.

Sweeet! Glad to see that you watched it, Quantum! Yep, Goten and Trunks got plenty of spotlight and I loved it. Trunks' little macho power-walk after he wins the Radish drawing while everyone cheers him on is priceless. Remember that in next cosplay, please~ ^_^

Oob doesn't show up for another 8 years or so. At this stage he's probably just a 2-year old cute little Indian kid in some tiny village somewhere.

Great OVA! I wonder why Simmons or Tomato??? (the Mother guy, forgot his name) didn't sub it? I guess Toei of Japan must have it's own English translators working for them in Japan, but looking at the two openings it's obvious there's a big difference.

It kind of reminds me of the first YYH movie, the opening song for that is completely different from the one used in Funimation's translations.

Meri's "Top 5 list" podcast theme makes a cameo in this special, I love it. :D

It's still another 8 years before that tournament. Why are there soooo many people that don't know that?!?!

Not meant to rag on you, its just been a very frequently asked question recently.

Something that was bugging me was how the world knew Satan saved them from Buu, I thought as soon as they could use the Dragonballs they erased the memory of Buu, even before the "10 years later".

So far the best explanation for that I've seen is that the world remembers a monster named Buu that ravaged and terrified the world, but simply don't remember Mr. Buu as being that monster. Fits nicely enough for me.

Gure was nothing but an eye-catcher for Toriyama fans, like the Neko Majin, Kajika and Cowa cameos slipped in. She was just the most obvious one; a random member of the Raudo race.

I finally got to see it, thanks to JAPPO. I liked it, it had a lot of funny moments. I was only annoyed slightly by the fact that, neither Tarble nor Vegeta fight at all, and of a minute i thought they wouldn't even have Vegeta go SSJ, but then he did at the end so it was ok, still would have like to see a bit more fighting with a focus on Vegeta and Goku team work.

There's so much lag it's barely watchable.

-Top 5
-DBZ ABCs
-Contests

Not sure what else, but I coulda sworn I heard more.
