I have no idea what Fraps 99, or VirtualDub is. Sorry.
The movie doesn't show any new characters, the entire fight is between two Goku's, wearing the default and alternate costume from Budokai 2. They only go as high as
Kaio-Ken, and Super Saiyan.
The movie begins at a Start Menu of sorts, containing no play options, and sporting a "Demo" banner across a splash page with Goku and Coola. Upon begining the game, it lead directly to the Versus mode, where both players selected Goku. (The 2nd player selected Coola briefly, then deselected and went back to Goku). While loading, Lunch pops up in the corner, and you can move her cross-hairs across the screen to shoot it up. Much cooler than Roshi spinning around.
One of the battles started off with large, sweeping views of the battle feild, the graphics are really fantastic upon close inspection. Both Goku's went through their animations upon starting, but neither used their opening lines and said nothing. (I'm hoping this is because they'll be using NEW audio for the complete version)
There wasn't much new; the battles looked very similiar to Budokai 2, with a few noteable exceptions. Everyone's already heard it, but each fighter was able to fire off several Ki blasts at once, and teleport behind each other to juggle their opponent around the screen.
A beam struggle of Kamehameha's was featured, but this only happens if both fighters fire at the same time so they meet in the middle (If the beam is intercepted closer or further away, they nullify each other). Burst mode was shown, but it looks exactly the same as it was before.
The most impressive features of the demo was the Ki effects, and this "dodge" feature. When powering up, a circle of dust is thrown up around your character, and they glow brighter and brighter. Powering up seems to take a long time though, undoubtly going to make SSJ3 & SSJ4 extremly difficult to attain/maintain. In the middle of punch and kick sequences, sometimes the attacked Goku would actually dodge or deflect the oncoming attack, but much differently than just guarding. After dodging a few in a row, his opponent back-handed him in the stomach, then brought his hand up to nail him in the face, just like a Kung-Fu movie. XD
Another new feature, seemed to be some kind of "power up" move, where at the expense of a lot of Ki, the character began glowing and started dealing some heavy damage. The player was able to use this while fighting at default, and Kaio-Ken.
