Damn, that video is 1) To big for me to download on dial-up and 2) To big for me to play on this crappy computer even if I could download. So, would anyone mind taking some screens off this thing? I know it was said it's nothing new but, by the file size, it's probably clearer than any of the other videos. Or at least has some new things somewhere...

It isn't really clearer, I'd say the only true benefit you get is by watching the whole thing.

And I kinda uh deleted it

Just downloaded and watched; not too bad I guess, they did show some neat stuff. Taking screen shots wasn't as easy as I thought, since apparently video players really don't like the print screen option. Does anyone know a different way?

Use Fraps 99.

You need to export the frames from it. I think VDub can load WMV files so you could use that.

Fraps 99 and Windows Movie Maker and VirtualDub with the proper plug-ins/mods *it may be able to right off the bat but I've never owned the original* are confirmed to work as I just tested it on some IGN videos. So have at it.

I should probably just redownload it.

What exactly is on the video? Any new characters, or nothing that awesome?
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

I have no idea what Fraps 99, or VirtualDub is. Sorry. :?

The movie doesn't show any new characters, the entire fight is between two Goku's, wearing the default and alternate costume from Budokai 2. They only go as high as Kaio-Ken, and Super Saiyan.

The movie begins at a Start Menu of sorts, containing no play options, and sporting a "Demo" banner across a splash page with Goku and Coola. Upon begining the game, it lead directly to the Versus mode, where both players selected Goku. (The 2nd player selected Coola briefly, then deselected and went back to Goku). While loading, Lunch pops up in the corner, and you can move her cross-hairs across the screen to shoot it up. Much cooler than Roshi spinning around.

One of the battles started off with large, sweeping views of the battle feild, the graphics are really fantastic upon close inspection. Both Goku's went through their animations upon starting, but neither used their opening lines and said nothing. (I'm hoping this is because they'll be using NEW audio for the complete version)

There wasn't much new; the battles looked very similiar to Budokai 2, with a few noteable exceptions. Everyone's already heard it, but each fighter was able to fire off several Ki blasts at once, and teleport behind each other to juggle their opponent around the screen.

A beam struggle of Kamehameha's was featured, but this only happens if both fighters fire at the same time so they meet in the middle (If the beam is intercepted closer or further away, they nullify each other). Burst mode was shown, but it looks exactly the same as it was before.

The most impressive features of the demo was the Ki effects, and this "dodge" feature. When powering up, a circle of dust is thrown up around your character, and they glow brighter and brighter. Powering up seems to take a long time though, undoubtly going to make SSJ3 & SSJ4 extremly difficult to attain/maintain. In the middle of punch and kick sequences, sometimes the attacked Goku would actually dodge or deflect the oncoming attack, but much differently than just guarding. After dodging a few in a row, his opponent back-handed him in the stomach, then brought his hand up to nail him in the face, just like a Kung-Fu movie. XD

Another new feature, seemed to be some kind of "power up" move, where at the expense of a lot of Ki, the character began glowing and started dealing some heavy damage. The player was able to use this while fighting at default, and Kaio-Ken.

Breast-feeding is tough work.

But that application is very helpful for rippin' from DirectX, so keep it handy.

EDIT: I was referring to the new video.

You can't use the screencapture option to grap from movie files, because they use DirectX to display the image in STRANGE AND MAGICAL WAYS.

Would Paint Shop Pro and Photoshop work? You can use them to grab images from games, after all.

If they work with games they probably would.

But Fraps99 is so easy and everyone loves it and get it.

Plus it can take movie files.

Anyone know anything about the story mode? From what I've heard, there're no cinemas... and the Hyper Demensionesque scrolling text I fear they might use isn't that attractive when they have the capability of reproducing everything in the game's 3D graphics engine, these days.

Though it would be cool if they handled it like EA's Lord of The Rings games and blended the resource material (the anime, in this case) with the game's own graphics when the story segments ended. That would rock, but will definately not-ever-ever-possibly-even-in-a-million-years-ever happen.

I swear if I have to read ONE word of scrolling text in Budoukai 3, then, uh, I'll grumble quietly while I continue playing the sh*t out of it.

Dimps was responsible for the Sonic Advance games, as well. While the first one was playable, the second one is a precision-fueled, point-based beast that takes quite a bit of practice and timing to perfect. While this is fine in its own right, that isn't what Sonic's about. Sonic is about running fast, jumping and bounding without having to worry about millions upon millions of bottomless pits and ill-placed spiketraps.

Conversely, this is what SA2 was full of! You spent a lot of time running fast, but there was always, eventually, a ramp that you had to juke off of just right, a rail you had to land on just right, and a series of spike traps that you had to dodge just right. And let us not get into the horrible running bosses... a bad attempt at recreating the Mushroom Hill Zone boss of S&K.

SA3 was better, but I'm getting a bit offtopic... erm...

So, the main mode is one in which you can fly around and work with the story, eh? Does this mean that there'll be plenty of twists and turns, depending on whom you play? After all, I wanna make Yamcha the strongest warrior in the galaxy.

Interesting new 'teaser' up at dragonballz.com, a small clip from the "Making of Budokai 3: Behind the Screams". (No, that wasn't a typo, it's really screams. Watch and you'll learn why).

It was kinda funny, getting to watch all the voice actors, and Sean remenisicing about passing out in his booth. Most exciting though, was hearing Sean scream out the Dragon Fist thingy. I bet that's going into the game. :)

Nope, no cutscenes. This doesn't automatically mean lots of text. True, the story could evolve through you talking to people in text boxes, but it could also have voice over but no actual cutscenes. Or, there may be no true story and just you roaming around looking for DBs and fighting people. We'll see soon enough...
