Does anybody speak Frieza?

That doesn't sound like Freeza, and I don't recall him ever saying something like that before. Where did you get it?

It is Ocean dub Frieza I think.

I got it from the sound archives of TDIR.

EDIT: Here's an example of the same Freeza saying something I understand.

"You know your, mindless dribble, is beginning to bore me."

Yes that's Pauline Newstone's Freeza from the Ocean dub, but it goes way too fast for me to make it out.

Sounds like "Whichever..." to me.

There's almost too much of an "el" noise at the end though.

From the top of my head, it closest sounds like "swidjul," which is not a word...at all.

EDIT: But then again I can hear it the more and more I play it, but it is kinda like that line in Aladdin where people thought he was saying "Good teenagers, take off your clothes." You hear what you are told to hear.

DOUBLE EDIT: http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Gulf/7094/Freeza's.html

This site has many of the same clips I found at TDIR, and sure enough it is captioned with a "Whichever." Good ears Eagle Scout Mike. I still kinda wanna see the tape or DVD of that episode if possible though. Does anyone know where that line could have possibly come from?

Did we ever get that dub on CN? That sounds very familiar. I know I've heard it before somewhere...

Anyway, yes, he's quite clearly saying "Whichever" in that clip.

I'm guessing the early Freeza episodes were still done by Ocean, with the Zarbon being all...Oceany.

But man...as much as that sounds like whichever now, I mean, I guess it is the music or the compression but, man...swidjul will always have a special place in my heart.

"Swidjul" is pretty good, but not as good as "fhqwhgads". ^_^

Noting how people hear what they're told...I tried listening to that clip thinking "swidjul" and I still hear "whichever."

I'm guessing it's because your mind has already decided on something. I say "I'm guessing", because so has mine and I can't hear that at all.

Psht, swidjul lives on in my heart.

Sounds like squid without a sharp q noise and then bull with a j noise.

Real easy to pick up...

Yup.

EDIT: Actually it sounds more like switchover.

Not quite sure how I ever heard the "jul" now.

Are you confusing that weird sound effect in that background for an "s"? That's the only way I can see it like that.

Is that the part where Furiza says "I want to say something in my own tongue" from the dub?

Well I've not seen the real verion of that episode so I've no clue.

No, the voice in that file sounded like the pre-funimation dub voice actors. I'm pretty sure it was the Ocean dub Freeza.

Then I unfortunately am unable to make a logical inference about this line.
