Episode #0157! VegettoEX and Meri tear through some old bags of action figures to see what has been sitting around for the last ten years! Japanese figures, hilarious American attempts, and naming fun are plentiful. January's releases, some more DBZ music homage e-mails, and tons more fun round out the episode and 2008. Go ahead and grab it. Big thanks to godofchaos for hosting the rather sweet *one-hundred-fifty-seven* episodes, now.

There you go! Last episode of 2008!

I demand pictures or a scan of this Mr. Savage.

Good episode! Very nostalgic talking about the toys that came with guns.

Some other ones that I bought at comic book shops here had Red Dragon Balls with Yellow stars.

Does anyone know if the Amazon Japan 70% off deal for the DB R2 DVDs is still going on? I'm getting a different screen now whenever I click the link on the main page.

Sadly, the sale seems to be over. But you can still pick up similar lots for similar prices over at Yahoo Auctions Japan, but in most cases the seller won't ship outside of Japan. :x

So does the Freeza in that line have a Machine gun? I've never been able to find that one for sale, and I want it. If it didn't come with a machine gun, then I don't want it. =p

Didn't Irwin have a Brolly figure with some kind of gun too?
Oh! I also had that Kuririn figure that Mike was talking about, it came with a sticker. I think it was some random kanji character or something.

Some of them had "Kaio" "Kame" "Kami" "Ma" and "Go", it didn't matter who had which one though, like kids can read kanji anyway.

Well, I loved the sticker anyway. It was DBZ, that thing went straight to my lunch box.

Yeah, the sale ended on the 28th, the same day the podcast was released.

Whoops.

Great podcast, with one little nitpick.

Wasn't Steve Simmons interviewed in episode #52 not episode #100? :P

By the way, quick correction to what you said:

"Sleet, snow, rain, weather, DEATH, NINJA SQUIRRELS."

My Vegeta came with a machine gun. My other Irwin Goku can with some kind of Power Pole (sorry, but I'd rather not hurt myself trying to spell its' actual name, nyoboi? Ah that hurts my spleen...). A store I frequent has a lot of Wave 13 of that DragonBall series, I believe they had a Frieza 100% with a gun too. Might go their tommorrow and pick it up, it's only $3.

I think they also had a Tapion figure from a different series then what Mike got. I remember Tapion looking like a midget in the package. Can't remember if he came with a gun.

Whatever, power pole is fine. :P
Did Tapion come with a sword or anything?

The midget is Minosha, I think...

Whoa, you're right, just checked the back of the package for my Vegeta fig and it says "Minosha", who the heck is that? Looks exactly like Tapion, but smaller... I went to the store today but they were closed by the time I went, and tommorrow they're closed, so some time this week I suppose. Ended up getting a DragonBall Beach Ball from a Gachapon machine, and I picked up this cool loose GT Trunks figurine. I'll post pics of them when I get the other Irwin guys in the recent hauls thread.

Minoshia is Tapion's younger brother, from DBZ movie 13.

You wanna know the worst thing about those Dragon Ball figures with weapons?

The figures couldn't hold the weapons. I mean what's the point?
