For the next part of my general guide to GT, here's a list of all the techniques each character uses, modeled after the special attack index from Daizenshuu 7. Characters are divided somewhat arbitralily by group, and listed alphabetically within each group. Techniques for each character are given in no order whatsoever. Variations of techniques are listed in parentheses after them, with ~ marks indication where to plug in the name of the base technique; so in other words "Super Saiyan (~2) is short for "Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 2". Simple, right?

Here's my explanation of some of these techniques. At the moment it's limited to ones I think need the most explaining, that is, techniques who even if you're familiar with GT you might be asking "what is that?", and whose names aren't self-explanatory. More or less.

Kiai Eyes (Gogeta): An invisible blast from the eyes. It’s the same technique Kaioshin uses against Buu, and which Buu then copied and used again him.

Plus Energy Kick (Gogeta): Whatever you’d call Gogeta’s trick of using the Plus Energy in his body to neutralize the Minus Energy Power Ball and the Minus Energy in the atmosphere.

Ki Whirlwind (Gohan, Goten): The thing they use when they battle Vegeta under Baby’s control. They move around Vegeta rapidly, creating a red whirlwind and preventing Vegeta from getting a handle on their position.

Synchronized Attack (Goku, Pan): The perfectly synchronized ki blast that they use to defeat Lood. It seemed unique enough to be listed.

Kiai Cannon: An invisible blast shot from the hand. SSJ4 Goku uses it against Baby. In Z SSJ Goku used it against Freeza, and Cell used it against Gohan.

Barrier (Goku): How Goku describes his trick of escaping the effects San Xing Long’s Freeze Beam. It seems to be the same thing Vegetto used to prevent himself from being truly absorbed by Buu.

Last, Final Attack (Goku): The same suicide technique Vegeta used to try and defeat Buu with. The name is from Daizenshuu 2 and 7.

Maiden’s Rage (Pan): Pan signature two-handed ki blast. The name is from the video games (and I only learned it from Conan’s GT heroes attack guide).

Flight (various): Any form of flying that is (presumably) not ki-related, like Gill’s ability to fly.

Grappling Claw (Gill): He shoots a little grappling claw from his stomach.

Breath (Mister Buu): His powerful breath attack, which he used to destroy cities with back in Z.

Attack Absorption (Mister Buu): Not sure what to call this one. It’s when he sucks up Baby’s Revenge Death Ball to save Uub. The attack is too powerful for him though, and he explodes.

Rapid-Fire Punch (Mister Satan): Satan uses this to quickly defeat some Baby-controlled humans, after Buu assures him that they aren’t any stronger than ordinary people.

Mental Fusion (Piccolo, Dende, New No.17, No.17): The ability to open a portal between the living world and the afterlife by having two people on each side mentally connect.

Boomerang Transfiguration Beam (Uub): Super Uub’s technique that he uses against Baby. He fires multiple Transfiguration Beams, which then boomerang around after Baby dodges them. They then form a huge whirlwind, from which a giant arrow-shaped blast is fired. Baby counters this with a large beam-type ki blast, and eventually manages to deflect this back at Uub (Uub purposely let himself get hit by this attack and eaten by Baby, as it turns out). It’s quite the technique.

Shockwave from the Entire Body (Uub, Yi Xing Long): It’s what Uub uses to hurt Baby from inside Baby’s body. Yi Xing Long also does the same sort of thing.

Kai-Kai (Kaioshin): His teleportation technique, which he learned when he fused with Kibito. It allows him to teleport directly from place to place, unlike Goku’s Shunkan-ido, where you need to lock onto someone’s ki.

Materialization Power (Doltaki): The ability to bring forth objects out of thin air. Doltaki produces Lood’s remote control in this way.

Devil’s Whips (Mutchi): His ability to freely manipulate any inanimate object that his whip-arms touch.

Parasitic Abilities (Baby): Kind of a catch-all for all his parasitic powers, like gaining energy by hibernating inside peoples’ bodies and then bursting out, Xenomorph-style, or laying eggs in peoples’ brains to take control of their minds, or personally going inside people to take control of them.

Crushing in Hands (Baby): As a Golden Oozaru, his attack where he tries to crush Goku in his hands.

Teleportation (Baby): He seems to teleport away from Goku to reach the spaceship that Bulma has ready for him.

Body Disassembly Attack (Bis): His attack of splitting his body up into many balls, which fly at the opponent, then form his own body again. He uses this to attack Goku and Trunks, then trap them inside his body when he reforms.

Data Storage (Doctor Mu): According to Baby, Doctor Mu had the Yi Xing Qiu (1-star ball) stored inside his mind as data. It rematerializes when Baby smashes Mu’s head.

Grappling Arm (various Machine Mutants): Their technique of shooting their arms out on grappling hook-type cables.

Metal Transfiguration (Rild): His ability to turn things into metal. He can do this both by a beam from his mouth, and by touching them with other metal, during his phase where he merges with Planet M2. Gill can reverse this through an ability which Trunks describes as “dissolving metal”, implying that Rild doesn’t really turn the people themselves into metal, but surrounds them in metal.

Object Teleportation (Rild): He personally teleports the metal slab of Trunks to the Planet M2 control tower.

Hyper Mega Rild Blast (Rild): I made the name up based on his “Hyper Metal Rild Punch). It is a blast he shoots by opening up the palm of his hand, so it seemed unique enough to be counted as different from a normal ki blast.

Minus Energy Field (Liang Xing Long): His ability to poison his surroundings his Minus Energy. He uses this to turn a lake into a poisonous bog, which gradually weakens all those in its vicinity until they are even weaker than him. The bog is also acidic, and he can drop people into it as a finishing technique.

Tornado Barrier (Liu Xing Long): His ability to create a barrier around himself by constantly spinning rapidly. At the same time, this creates the illusion that he is a beautiful princess. Goku copies this technique, and the two clash their barriers together. The name is from GT Perfect Files.

Homing Blast from the Ground (Qi Xing Long): An attack where he places his hands on the ground beneath him, and a ki blast then shoots out of the ground underneath his opponent. This technique homes in on the opponent, so like other techniques of its kind, it suffers from the weakness that his opponent can use him as a shield, by hovering directly above him so that the blast hits him when it comes out of the ground.

Containment Armor (Si Xing Long, San Xing Long): Not sure about this one counts as a technique. When they both appear, the two dragons have a sort of covering that breaks off afterwards. If I remember right, Si Xing Long explains that it is to keep his power in check, or some such thing.

Cold Air Blast (San Xing Long): An invisible blast that he hits Goku with. He could just be a Kiai Cannon, but I like to think it’s a blast of frigid air, in keeping with his other ice attacks.

Freeze Aura (San Xing Long): In addition to his Freeze Beam, he has the ability to freeze his immediate surroundings without firing any beams.

San Xing Qiu Cannon (San Xing Long): An attack where he forms his left hand into a cannon, with the San Xing Qiu (3-star ball) at its center. He uses it to try and finish off Goku when Goku is frozen solid by his Freeze Beam (or appears to be, anyway).

Extreme Heat (Si Xing Long): Not sure if this counts as a technique, but it’s his ability of having his body be 6,000 degrees, the same temperature as the sun. This heat makes base Goku unable to even touch him without being hurt, but the heat does no significant damage to SSJ4 Goku (in his own words). Yi Xing Long uses this same ability after absorbing all of the dragonballs.

Eye Suction (Yi Xing Long): I have this done and can’t remember what the hell it is.

Spike Attack (Yi Xing Long): Where he makes the spikes on his back extend to pierce his opponent. He uses this against SSJ Vegeta.

But Goku did use Bukujutsu to defeat Piccolo at the 23rd Tenkaichi Budoukai, so there! :P

I do not think they would fair any better because as Herms indicated Kakarrot implies that Super Saiyan 4 had very few weaknesses. He attempted to fight in base form and if the heat could easily be avoided with Super Saiyan 1 or 2 he would have transformed into one of those forms. It would have been less draining than Super Saiyan 4.

A year ago, I would have never imagined that there were people on the web today who are as dedicated and skilled at presenting us with DragonBall information as VegettoEX, Herms and Hujio are.

Well, Broly and Bebi were basically destroyed by the sun, so...

I know that the attack was called "Dragon Thunder" in the Budokai Tenkaichi games, and I've always wondered how accurate that was. Dragon Thunder sounds corny, but I can't totally blame them for changing it from something as bland as "Spike Attack".

Well, "Spike Attack" is just a name I made up to describe it. It's odd that they'd call it "Dragon Thunder" though, since that's Wu Xing Long's attack where he shoots lightning from his fingertips, and that Yi Xing Long uses after absorbing the dragonballs. I've got it on my list too.

I should probably note which technique names are ones I simply made up to describe techniques and not actual names used in the series. I tried to make them as generic and merely descriptive as possible, so you can kind of tell, hopefully.

Why did you not add the Gyalic Ho that Vegeta uses against Son Gohan/Bebi and the Continuous Gyalic Ho used by Bebi-Vegeta against Super Saiyan 4 Kakarrot?
