Dragonball Z Story... A sequel to Advance Adventure?

I mean, AA ended at Piccolo Daimao, and DBZS starts at 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai. I think its sorta a sequel.

I don't think so; the gameplay styles are just too different (side-scrolling beat-'em-up vs. FF-style RPG), but in terms of the story, yeah, you could take it as a sort of continuation.

Well it'd be pretty cool to see a sequel to that game. It was one of the best Dragonball games for the GBA.

I hope this game will be really fun despite being a 23rd Budokai-to-Saiyan saga game. The obvious hint of what-if paths really catch my attention, the obvious hint being Goku battling along side with Gohan and Piccolo when he should be dead and training with King Kai.

If the what-if things are in(most likely there's gonna some based on the hint I said before), I wonder if that leads to at least The World's Strongest and The Tree of Might movies being story arcs in the game.

Definitely. Although, the game did grow a little dull and repetitive as it nears the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai. Hopefully they'll spice up the gameplay and variety in challenge concerning the maps in a possible sequel.

I agree, though the charm of the game won me over from the second I picked it up, I think it would be an absolute blast to play RR and the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai, and in another sequel finishing out DB with the Piccolo Daimao arc and the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai.

There really hasn't been a whole lot, just yet. Since it's coming out relatively soon, I would expect V-Jump to really start promoting it heavily in the coming issues. I'd just stay tuned for more magazine scans... they're probably coming.

Oh, alright thanks. I actually didn't even know of its existence until seeing this thread.

So now its called Dragon Ball Kai: Saiyan Invasion, right?

However, what about the whole 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai part, are they still keeping it?

Also, is this game coming in North America/Europe, because I'm very interested in it

I wonder if it'll be promoted as "Z" or "Kai" in the US.

EDIT: Oh, and I find it ironic that they chose a genre that's known for slow-pacing and grinding to be the first game to represent a version of Dragonball Z that's supposed to be fast-paced.

Well, that all depends how fast/soon and if FUNimation gets the license to it or not.

If Wikipedia is to be believed, then this new Dragon Ball Kai game is being developed by Monolith Soft who are apparently responsible for Xenosaga, which I have never played.

Meanwhile, Dragon Ball: Advance Adventure was supposedly developed by Dimps, whom, as I'm sure many of you are aware, were the ones who gave us the "Budokai" series.
