Buying the DB 2008 special?

Post by sangofe » Mon Jan 12, 2009 4:29 am

I know we've had this somewhere in a thread sometime before... but since it's been a while, I thought it'd be easier to have a new thread about it now, especially it was supposed to be this month one can purchase it, no?
Anyway... I know someone in Japan, so all I have to ask them is to buying the monthly shounen jump issue of January 09?

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/20 ... vd-offered

It looks like all you have to do is pick up any January issue of Jump and send away for the dvd that way.

*Hopes someone will upload the Ending Animation with "Orange Hero"; as it was never shown online like Romance Dawn's was*.

I can only hope Funi gets a hold of it so I can buy the dvd itself some day.
On hiatus.

I want Funi to dub it so I can listen to Vegeta and Goku argue over sushi.

I'm afraid you'll actually have to know someone in Japan. I suppose they'd except your money, but won't ship you anything in return.

Not like you have anything on me, what, with me still saying "anyways"...

Regarding the DVD, I've got Julian on the job! For me, at least :P.

Since Jump will only ship it to Japanese residents, I'm having it shipped to a Japanese friend who will sent it to me in a few months when she gets it.

Damn. Oh Well, if\when you get it, you should do a review or dissection on it so we can all drool over it.

Oh, totally. I don't know how much more there will be to say on it (since we've already talked about the actual content of the special), but we'll definitely dedicate a show/feature-page to talking about it. There's always whatever packaging there is, the ending theme, etc. to mention.

I have friends (.....of friends) in Japan, but I couldn't be bothered ordering it because I am sure it will recieve a proper release and possibly even a dub here in the next two years.
