Yeah, wtf. Judging the depth of "The Joker" in TDK based on a Junior Novel is just as ridiculous.
It is retarded the Junor Novel is coming out in February, because some people don't know the difference between it and an actual well-written book.

Does it really have to come down to calling stuff retarded?
All movies of this type release their promotional material ahead of time; its the same reason the Valentine's Day cards were put out on display at my bookstore right after Christmas.
It may seem far too early to release something, but from a money-making point of view its all in the scheme of getting people hyped up.
I'm not defending the junior novel; and surely it's most likely no where above a 4th or 5th grade reading level as there's nothing on these two authors' resumes aside from a junior novel of The Dark Knight that even hints at them having experience in this area; but it's all we really have to go on until mid-March.
There's nothing to be found in chapter books though; I've flipped through one for Spiderman--it's all bare bones.
By the way, I'm a Professional Writing major. I do know the difference between a children's adaptation of a movie script and a genuine novel, thanks.

Also, if a Saiya-jins hair remains the same from birth, then how did Vegeta grow a mustache in GT. shouldn't he have just had it eventually, I mean we never see Vegeta shave until GT, and he spent a year in a space pod and nothing happened. I guess to grow his mustache it took the time from after Z till GT to grow?
You know.
Think of King Vegeta.
Its not like he was born with a goatee.
Facial Hair grows, Head Hair doesn't
I understand people grow facial hair, lol.
I was just saying that when a Saiyan matures I would assume he would grow facial hair, if genetically dispositioned to do so, and that would be it. Vegeta nor Goku are ever shown shaving. I just don't imagine Vegeta taking the time to shave while training.

I always figured that "changes" in a Saiyan's hair, top-o-the-head, facial, whatever... didn't happen until the Saiyan was getting over the hill. The abnormal cases we've seen... King Vegeta's goatee, Nappa's baldness and mustache, GT Vegeta's hairstyle change and mustache, etc... in all cases the Saiyan in question was really getting up there in years.

Not to be picky, but I can't think of many anime or cartoons where a male character is shown to shave.

The review from IMDB is definitely fake (he even said it was) so yeah I know this thread will never be closed (for whatever reason) but it seriously should. Ah well.

Homer Simpson, zing.
Anyway, I just thought that for some reason, doesn't mean it's true.
Did anyone notice Vegeta's hairstyle actually changes in GT. At the beginning of GT is spreads more like a fan and looks like a crop top, but then after he shaves his mustache, thank god, his hair just looks like a toned down version of his Z hair?

Like I said, I couldn't think of many. Even less in anime than cartoons actually.
But that aside, Homer must have some Saiyajin DNA. His stubble grows back instantly.

I just read somewhere that Vegeta's mustache was someone at Toei's idea, and when Akria Toriyama saw it in the show he was like "NO!"
Whether this is fact or fiction I have no idea.

I'm honestly not sure if Mr Toriyama would ever be that bothered. He seems like a pretty easy going guy and didn't really care what they did with GT so long as he didn't have to draw it.

Nope. Herms posted a pic recently in another thread (I think it was the Goten one) of Toriyama-Sensei's concept designs for GT characters...unfortunately, 'stachio'd Vegeta and lawnmower-head Goten were among them.
I think he secretly sabotaged GT with those horrible designs to make fans dislike it from the get-go, putting a stop to his mad creation once and for all.

Then he kind of half failed. Interest in DB as a whole was already waning, it didn't need an inside man to bring it down. Besides, GT still has a noticeable fan base, despite its overall perception as the syphilitic leper of the Dragon Ball franchise.
Dragon Ball was never going to go on as a series forever, secret moustache of doom or no.

Dammit. That mustache and square hair combo is awful. Thank god someone decided to ditch it. As I said, after the mustache went, Vegeta's hair returned some what to normal also.

Because his spikes are growing back. There's several months between the beginning of GT and Vegeta's later appearances.

Brown Shines don't happen to Black Hair.
In the anime, yes.
In the manga his hair was always black, so when Toriyama added the line about all Saiyajin having black hair, it was true from his perspective. All the inconsistencies are Toei's fault, really. If anything they should have changed the line to 'dark hair' -- it still would have worked in the context the comment was used in.
You cant really judge someones hair color based off what you see in a black and white manga, especcially since if its a dark color, it always becomes black(ish)
