... and a child? I don't think so. What do you think? Could someone more well-versed with the Japanese original explain in what ways the voices of Child Goku and Adult Goku differ?

No, child Goku's much higher pitched than adult Goku.

I think he still retain his mispronunciations into adulthood though.
On hiatus.

Adult Goku does have a slightly deeper pitch, and less of a "cutesy" inflection to his voice compared to his child self.

Yeah, Nozawa does a noticeably different voice for the adult voices.

Nozawa actually has a fairly incredibly range. The various ages/forms of Goku, Gohan, Goten, Bardock and Tullece all have their own different vocal nuances.

No, child Goku's much higher pitched than adult Goku. See any of the scenes where Goku is speaking to child Gohan or child Goten; you can tell its the same voice actress, but its a different pitch
It's funny you should mention this. I was just watching the DragonBall: The Movies single disc, and they have trailers for the single disc DVD from each series. When you listen to each "Yo, this is Goku" back to back you can really tell the difference. I'll post something maybe tonight or tomorrow...

Yeah, he keeps those forever.

Yeah, Nozawa was trying to retain Goku's innocent nature in his adult voice so its only a little deeper.

Her Bardock is absolutely amazing though, I wish she used that voice for Goku, but I like her very much regardless.

I take it that the Japanese lady did Kakarrot's voice straight through the series.
The Saiyans are very much like the Klingons and Jem'Hadar.

Yes.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

It's easier to tell when you hear it back to back.

That's awesome, thanks!
(Also your series of videos focusing on censors from the Tree of Might movie that aired on CN is great. Could you possibly do more?)

I think she should have done the Super Saiyan 4 voice throughout the adult years.

Err, that'd kind of kill the point of having the form have a different voice to begin with, no? Doesn't Schemmel have some special voice for SSJ4 or something also?

But then the Super Saiyan 4 voice would have to be even lower then that voice!

From what I've seen on youtube and heard in games, it seems more gruff than his regular goku.

I don't think her range is that amazing, honestly. But that's OK, voice actors don't need a huge range sometimes as long as they are good actors.
If challenge had a taste, you'd be quite delicious.

Yeah, he does a slightly deeper and more solemn version of his "serious Goku" voice.
