Incorrect, FUNimation recieved digi-betas for GT, they were given film masters for DB/Z and the movies.

Proof? I remember reading threads where they mentioned that they were given digi-beta tapes for Z.

Looks like the msrp dropped, because Amazon's got them at the same price (cheap movies, too). There's your "season + movies" deal.

When I bought Season 7 and The Cooler Double Feature, since they apparently weren't doing the 2 for $45 deal ike with the last 2 sets, I just told them about it and convinced them to lower the price of the Cooler Double feature to $15.

Wow, those screens look good. The grain is left intact, no excessive DNR. Too bad they didn't realize earlier on that their DNR was making the image look worse.

True. The first go-around, FUNi received digibetas of everything from DB to GT. Only recently, with the "remastered" fiasco did they receive any actual film stock. The new sets, of course, were telecined from that film, making FUNi responsible for any framing issues.

Something interesting I found out on episode 232 of my DBZ Season 8 DVD, there's a scene that is similiar to a part in Movie 10. The background is definitley different, but the bird is the same one used in Movie 10, since I know Movie 10 came out after this episode was aired. (Am I correct on this? :P)
I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I have never actually scene most of the Babidi Saga episodes as well as the Majin Boo ones.

Nope! Dragon Ball Z movie 10 came out between episodes 220 and 221 (March 12th, 1994) while episode 232 was first broadcast in Japan on July 6th, 1994.

That partially explains why the white balance sucks so hard on DBZ Season 2!

Just got my copy today, so I'll say a few things about it after checking out a couple of my favorite scenes.

There's a typo on disc 3 on the episode selection screen, they list episode 236 twice.

I can't remember who said it here but that bit of added dialogue near the end of the Goku vs. Vegeta fight is indeed there, and is very awkward. The voice direction is off, because Schemmel is using his relatively upbeat voice, and you can tell Sabat has to rush through his line because of the limited time frame.

And i don't know if this is an added line or not, but after vegeta blasts the world tournament stands, he says the line "is it slavery if you get what you want!?" It seems thrown in there because you can clearly see Vegeta is not talking during that line. But I have to admit It's a pretty awesome line. Still, It's too bad they consider revised dialogue throwing in more lines, instead of actually revising anything.

Well the Slavery is not new. Buu saga really did not need its script revised to begin with, I dare say it is the most accurately written saga. Bought mine today also, It was funny how much dbz stuff my wal-mart now has; DBZ seasons 1-8 DBGT seasons 1-2 and the newest double feature. Today was a big Dragonball release day, wish I had more money

It's added to the dub, not exclusively to the season sets.

Oh, well it just seemed like it was, but It's a good thing It's not I guess.

And I've heard the accuracy of the boo saga is pretty good as well. I was venting my frustrations more toward them adding dialogue in all these sets instead of revising it.

Also, I don't know if anyone else has noticed this but there seems to some kind of delay before the opening song starts of every episode. I haven't encountered this little hiccup on any of the other sets.

I forgot how great Dabura's dub voice was. Haven't heard it in years.

The Boo stuff is only more accurate in the way that one terrible dub can be better than another terrible dub. =p

I've spotted a new line by Piccolo, when he's talking to Vegeta after knocking Trunks & Goten out:

"Vegeta, I think I understand... and one day, so will Trunks"

I have been alternating between watching the dub and the original Japanese, and like I have said before, the dub at this point is quite good. The scripts are fairly accurate, some lines being exact, some being way off. I only wish that they dubbed the whole series this way.

Just watched the first disk, and I have to say that this set is probably the best looking set in my opinion, but that could also be because of the animation quality.
