Making a DVD would be awesome. A nice case, a cover and back sheet page, a DVD label, and this would be great. Heck, I'd even be happy just getting those high quality AVIs. The best I could do was convert my Youtube vids to AVI, but I doubt it has the same level of quality.

As for the cover...I'm stuck between Butterfinger Nappa, and Best Day Ever Nappa. On the back, though, we can have Patty Cake Nappa.

Oh, this would be fun. And maybe a follow up DVD with the first two (or three, if we see it released in the future) movies and their advertisement videos...and maybe outtakes, if there were any. Maybe some movie commentary...Hey, there's an idea. The first disk can have the episodes, with a switchable track for episode commentary (if Kaiser and crew would like to), and the second disk can be special features.

Since I've been getting used to Vectoring, I think I could be able to make a high quality image this.

I also have a lot of music/sound software so if you ever require any services regarding that, that you don't feel you can solve with what you have, then please feel free to ask - I more than likely have something that can help. :)

I would offer to compose menu music but I'd imagine you'll use something from the show instead.

Anyway yeah, if you require anything music-wise/sound-wise then feel free to ask.

Thanks man that sounds good and would probably use the subs if i knew how to add multiple subtitles toy the video but for some reason i can only use one with what i've got?

all that would be awesome but its up to KaiserNeko and the gang

as for cases its all cool to but i'm not planning on releasing it with any covers or cases just the ISO, obviously you and others can do what you wan't with the finished product

also whatever space is left on the disc after all 10 episodes will be used to add trailers ect

sounds good

I also thought i would make a menu video inside a frame with various clips from the series and that'll probably be one of the clips I use lol

Egh... does it HAVE to be the 'lazor' shot? It was funny enough as a one-time joke, but I get to see enough of it all over the rest of the internet. Shouldn't the cover be something a little... I dunno, classier?

I could probably vector up a good shot of Nappa myself.

What's more classy and proffesional than this sexy beast?

I agree, a goofy shot of Nappa and/or Popo would be much better on the back of of the DVD case.

After some thought, I actually think it would be a better back cover picture.

Awesome! Thank you, I was planning on putting that logo right under the TFS one, but I thought I'd have to use a screenshot from the opening to get it! Many thanks!

Wait, by the way everyone is talking it sounds like this DVD is going to be distributed around (not even buying/selling, just receiving it).

You guys could get in serious trouble for that....if you're caught anyways.

I'm only releasing the ISO using footage that is also available on Youtube so i think we'll be fine (Basically i'm doing this because i don't have anything better to do)

Plus we got thumbs up from KaiserNeko

also does anyone wanna design a Menu Background?
Theres gonna be a little window on the right hand side showing a few clips from the first 10 episodes but i'm not sure what i should use for the background?

Well I'd have to see the menu first of all and see what would fit.

If I get the free time I'll gladly compose or arrange something. I'm not sure techno would fit the bill here, perhaps a condensed piano version of one of Kikuchi's tracks. I dunno, I'd hafta see the menu itself before jumping to conclusions.
In a nutshell: Likes the sub and the dub and barely ever posts.

Hm... You know...

He raises a point, here. When it's on Youtube, it's even more appropriately a free parody that has little effect on the show for FUNimation. I can imagine them getting a little more temperamental over the material being distributed as something which can be put onto DVD, for free or otherwise.

I'd like to think FUNimation wouldn't be all that upset about it, but at this point we've already pushed our realms of comfort with them, I'd rather not push them any further. Perhaps this idea is best left as a fun idea and nothing more.

No, not even a PIF (pay it forward) method. A simple torrent should be fine... unless, of course, you've changed your mind - which is understandable.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
I would be happy enough if just the .avi files were made available, so that we could each make our own DVD.

This sounds like a good plan.

Well, if everyone would like...

Episode 1: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=0XEN13AV

Though, and I can't make any promises... you may see it on our page, in the near future... though expect it to be different in a few places.

WOW! Thank you soooooo much!

Now, what kind of differences are we talking about? And are they because FUNi has a stick up their butt, or because you guys have had time to look back and decide to change a few things?

Sweet. :D

Though, is it just me or entering the verification code on Mega Upload sort of like an ink blot test? I always have to do it a few times, especially since they changed it.
