The Fate Of Captain Ginyu (After Freeza Saga)
So, we know that Captain Ginyu had swapped bodies with a frog accidentally in the Captain Ginyu Saga, and presumably been that way for the rest of the series (going by the manga). I'm completely ignoring filler from the anime, by the way.
So what happened to Ginyu afterwards? I'm assuming he was included in the wish to bring everyone on Namek to Earth except Goku and Freeza. But I don't think we ever see him again (I don't own all the DBZ manga, so please tell me if I'm wrong about this).
While we're on the matter, what happened to the frog that was stuck in Captain Ginyu's body? Maybe he was included in the wish to bring everyone back to Earth. But again, we don't see him anywhere either, though it would be quite cool to see a frog in Ginyu's hulking body on Earth, hopping through Capsule Corporation.
I know the answer I'm going to get is simply, Toriyama forgot about them. But could someone give a different answer to that?

Funny, I don't remember that anywhere in the manga. So, which volume is it, going by the DBZ manga?B wrote:Frog-in-Ginyu falls into Namek's hot core and dies.
Ginyu-in-Frog lives a peaceful life on Earth until he dies of natural causes.
It's in Chapter 444 of the manga.
Or were you kidding?

He's kidding. Chapter 444 is when Gohan has his energy stolen by Yamu and Spopovitch.Piccolo Daimao wrote:Or were you kidding?

I was just watching the pre-Cell Games filler, and they actually show Ginyu-In-Frog looking longingly at Goku's house.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

I don't know why, but I just like the idea of Ginyu being around, in some form, for the rest of the series.
New to the forum? Just want to know when you'll hit your next posting rank? Ever wondered why some users have special titles, and what they mean? The answers to all these questions and more are waiting for you in the Kanzenshuu Member Hierarchy Guide!!

Yeah, same here. It's just amusing to see him hopping around during say, the Buu saga. The Tori-bot wrote:I don't know why, but I just like the idea of Ginyu being around, in some form, for the rest of the series.
Which is why I included him in my recent fanfic chapters

theres nothing in the manga to say that he didnt get sent to Earth, so I like to believe the filler is true. Ginyu-in-Frog lived in Dr. Brief's frog pond for over ten years until Buu destroyed the planet. Then he died and went to hell since the wish only brought back good people.

As people have said, he's never in the manga again. There's actually no evidence that the animals from Namek were transferred to Earth. I don't know why they wouldn't be, but...meh.
Was it my imagination, or was Ginyu-frog in a filler part of the world tournament saga? Gohan/Saiyaman bent down to look at him just as Sharpner(?) leaped off a roof to pull off his disguise.

I'm pretty sure Ginyu-frog appeared in the filler at least two times. I definitely remember him watching the Son family celebrate Gohan's birthday through the window. But I know he appears more than once, just can't remember when.
Gohan: At least he doesn't have his sword out anymore.
Kuririn: Yeah, and your dad put his finger away too.

I imagine that the magnitude of Goku and Freeza's battle killed all the animals off. Since they were not directly killed by just Freeza, himself they were neither revived nor transferred back to Earth.Bussani wrote:As people have said, he's never in the manga again.
