-What file format will you encode the subbed Kai episodes in?
-Will the subtitles be an option, or added permanently to the video footage?
-I don't mean to sound pushy or anything here, but what is the expected turn around time for a subbed episode?
-How do you plan on getting raw versions of these episodes?
Thanks!
A TV commercial going to be aired during Kai.

This is a commercial of a famous food "Gohandesuyo", a product of Momoya, which is boiled Nori (laver) you put on top of rice in a bowl.
It is also famous for its commercials with a manga-nised character of a Japanese actor Norihei Miki, which have been aired since 1958.

For anyone that's interested, I've put up a new feature on Kanzentai; "Watching DragonBall Kai Live!"
If you live in North America, be sure to check out the handy "Time Zone" table so you know when DragonBall Kai will be airing in your local area. If you live outside of North America, I suggest using the "Time Zone Converter" at Time and Date.com to convert the time in Japan (Sunday, April 5, 2009 at 9:00 AM) to your local time. Other than that, I hope this feature will help people out. Feel free to spread the word and tell your friends, family, pets, other fans that don't visit Kanzentai or Daizenshuu EX, etc...
Less than 2 days, people!

Is it likely to end up on zyoutube like the special? It's just that I don't use torrents.
Yo! Cal's the name. Nice to meet you!

Oh god. I was wondering if they were going to make a DBK version of the commercial. The Kitaro one's were already disturbing enough.... DB characters. Good god.
Anyways, to answer some questions:
There are two other group's doing this as well, but I'd be a little warrying on them. I'm not saying SD is better, but both groups are new (and the one just popped out of no where, seems to be doing DBK exlusively) and I just don't know about their quality.
Infact, I actually really hate the idea of "fansubbing" competition. = /
But anyways, you can go with them or us, depending on who releases first. Really up to you guys.
Anyways, to answer some questions:
Actual encodes will be H264/AAC (720p). Hopefully anyways. The files will also be released in the MKV container. I may or may not do an XviD encode for this for people who have trobule playing this.SSj_Rambo wrote: -What file format will you encode the subbed Kai episodes in?
Subtitles should be optional for the most part. Opening and Ending will have a karaoke and be hardsubbed onto the video.-Will the subtitles be an option, or added permanently to the video footage?
Could be anyways from the first couple days to a week. I'm pushing for this to get released in as soon as possible, but there is always the chance this won't happen.-I don't mean to sound pushy or anything here, but what is the expected turn around time for a subbed episode?

I would prefer that there is absolutely no discussion and helpful-distribution of English subtitled versions of Kai on this forum. We all know that the IP is sublicensed by FUNimation in the US (where this website/forum is hosted), and I'm just going to have the draw the line there.
Thanks.
Thanks.
