Technically, this is the "original" Abridged, since it first came out a year before the one we all know and love.Forgotten Hero wrote:This is some weird shit...I still like the original Abridged better. This is really weird but okay.

Really! After watching more Ginyu gay jokes, I'm starting to dig it.The Tori-bot wrote:Technically, this is the "original" Abridged, since it first came out a year before the one we all know and love.Forgotten Hero wrote:This is some weird shit...I still like the original Abridged better. Lol I know gay jokes are the lowest form of humor, but I can't help but laugh. I'm only human.Forgotten Hero wrote:Really! If challenge had a taste, you'd be quite delicious.

Gay Ginyu quotes that almost made me die laughing:
1."Suckin' cock usually clears that right up for me...cause I'm GAY."
2."Everyone dances and nobody quits! And if you don't strike a gay pose, then I'll rape you, myself!"
3."You know what I want". ***makes fapping hand gestures***
4."I just...rape things. And whatever rapes me simply makes me...gayer."

1. Didn't find funny.Pain wrote:Gay Ginyu quotes that almost made me die laughing:

2. Again, not funny, too much random rape jokes thinking that the randomness will sell it...
3. ... Ok, yeah, funny.
4. ... Weird, got a chuckle, but mostly because of the response.

Check out TeamFourStar's DragonBall Z Abridged:

The intro editing was pretty neat though.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
I love the voices, they do all sound the same but there's a charm to that. Especially since it's a hilarious voice.JAPPO wrote:Yeah there's too many gay jokes and the voices all sound the same
TeamFourStar is everybody's "blood type." If you like Dragon Ball Z and have any sort of sense of humor, then you're going to like TeamFourStar's Abridged. There is an abundance of sex and gay jokes in TRDBZA, but that's not all that's there. They definitely have some clever editing and lots of references (Too many Dark Night references IMO).MCDaveG wrote:I don't know..... team Four Star is my blood type with their style of humor, but I don't see anything funny about this.... Maybe it's because I'm not teenager anymore
I do wish they'd cut back on the sex jokes, m'self.PHEW those sex jokes were a LARF in a HARF I tell you what. This is almost as good as Family Guy.

I can't tell whether you intend this to be a good or a bad thing.NeptuneKai wrote:PHEW those sex jokes were a LARF in a HARF I tell you what. This is almost as good as Family Guy.

It's funny because, I think it's safe to assume, that the Ginyu Force is a little gay...At least Ginyu and Jheece. I can't help but think of a quote from vol. 7 of the viz graphic novels.JAPPO wrote:Lol I know gay jokes are the lowest form of humor, but I can't help but laugh. I'm only human.

Alright guys, listen, this is important. If you are parodying something, never EVER make celebrity references, especially when these celebrities are totally unrelated to the thing that you are parodying.
What held me back from regarding ARDBZ as to being good? The constant bombardment of celebrity references. What made me finish watching Episode 1 in the middle of this? The celebrity references. What made me fucking CRINGE when I saw Gopher Ball Z? The celebrity references. What made me feel like I was being tortured when I saw a bit of Scary Movie? The utter, constant bombardment of celebrity references.
So, yeah, when making a parody of something, don't do them. Ever.

So you don't like celebrity references. That doesn't mean its an unwritten rule not to use them.Deep Thought wrote:Alright guys, listen, this is important.
