How'd they get Kame-sennin's name wrong last episode?

Sorry, I meant Satou Masaharu as Kame-Sennin.

Just got through most of the six pages! Lets of talk going down.
Anyways, I could explain how I feel, but my review is done, so if you'd like to hear what I have to say check it out:

Edit: I sourced Herms and SSj_Rambo, and I'd like to thank them for their hard work.

Probably, but if they keep rushing the story so much in each episode, I may over to that camp.

Unlike FUNi, generally, they do not remove dust on the original cels through HD remastering in Japan.
They assume that even the dust is a part of the original footage. Only dirt/scratches on films are to be removed. It's not because of their omission at all.
If you mind such dust, just wait for FUNi's HD release. They will remove even the outline of characters cleanly. :)

Just to throw in some thoughts: I don't think it "sucks", but there are some things which chould have been done differently and this makes me think that this "approach" of DBZ is not really worth collecting (compared to the "original" DBZ).

First off, while I like the new opening song (not as much as Chala, but anyway), the overall BGM isn't as good as in the original (hell, now just two episodes are over and there are parts, where I'd like to have Funi's BGM in it xD).

Then the coloring: It looks nice for the sky, grass and so on, but overall the characters look too washed out (I mean, if Goku's gi now looks like that, what will it look like when he is a SSJ?) and you see some errors (like Radditz' hair, has been mentioned above already).

And my last point is, that when I watch the new opening and ending animations, I always just have to ask myself how awesome it would have been if they had actually "really" redone the whole series instead of what we now get to see.

So, I don't hate DB Kai, but I can't say that I like it either.
Of course it has some advantages over the old Z series, but then again, until now it's sadly nothing more than a flawed presentation of recycled and recut footage... :/

Um, no they didn't. o_O That's clearly edited by Tanooki.
I just want to clarify that, yes you are right. That was a piss poor attempt of humor on my part some years ago. Now back to your regular scheduled thread.

Yeah, but no rip is going to have the local time in the upper-left corner. Why does TVants do that anyway? Can you turn it off?

Uh, yes they will. There's been MANY series' that have been ripped that keep that timer on the top. It's irremovable because it's shown by the station. That's like saying ripping an episode off of Cartoon Network will remove the CN logo.

You're not going to remove the watermark, sure, but I've never seen that timer in anything before. Is it an option in the television that can be turned on and off or something?

Nope. It's a normal thing over there just to display time. From what I gather, it's to keep people aware of the time, should they have work or school to go to.

FujiTV does that, not TvAnts.

How is it that it's absent from the copies circulating around the net?

If it's anything like One Piece, several stations in different points of Japan air it at certain times (with some broadcasting in HD, while others are SD).

That's why there's two different logos on the top right for the first episode of Kai floating around on recorded copies.

Oh, so the timer is added by that specific affiliate. Now I gets it!
