I'm with you all the way! I LOVE the "What Ifs"! I still think Supersonic Warriors is one of the best DBZ games ever just because they included such entertaining and believable what-if scenerios.VegettoEX wrote:Definitely. Fuck what I keep reading on other boards... I loved all the "What-If?" stuff in the second game (Majin Freeza cracks me up... them having no idea they were even under Babidi's control), and some of the stuff in DBZ3 is neat, as well.Cloud_Graywords wrote:Dont know i hope more "Original Stories" For next games....
Maybe, but he put up a half decent fight (better than the other four), and being able to freeze is a decent power in my eyes (so is Thunder, but it's a shame it got wasted so badly).Endishiki wrote:Pfeh, 3-Star could freeze. 4-Star could burn. But 4-Star has enough momentuous significance to stay. Modify 4-Star's model slightly, create 3-Star exclusively for a battle, and leave it like that.
I really like the sound of that idea. Perhaps have the Tenshinhan and Yamcha stories as one or crossover at some point, and the two fuse into Tiencha. The concept of more "What If" stories actually would fit better than the standard GT storyline... you could give more time to the characters who got the bum end (most of them).
You could have the following characters with storylines...
Goku
Uub
Vegita
Gohan
Goten
Piccolo
Pan
Trunks
Bebi (with an actual ending where he reigns supreme)
You could also have Yamcha, Tenshinhan, and Kuririn busy with their own threats... possibly battling against villains returned from Hell since, at this point, they should be leagues stronger than many of the villains we saw.
The S wrote:Indeed. Having new characters, transformations, fusions, and storylines that are part of the official Dragonball experience as opposed to just in fanfics (note that I said 'official', not 'canon') makes them infinitely cooler.
Hmm. Maybe not new characters but the Special Movie Version idea sounds excellent. That is an excellent idea. I'd love to see that, perhaps having some of the movie and filler good guys temporarily join the heroes in various storylines, for example have Peccan (sp?) come to Earth as well as Goku and get caught up in the fight against Buu. But I'd defiantly like to see some more what if fusions. The Kururin/Piccolo fusion Mr. Toriyama once drew should defiantly feature in one of the games, as well as the Goku/Gohan fusion that almost happened. SSj3 combined with “Mystic” would probably make Gokhan far stronger than Vejito.Tanooki Kuribo wrote:How about a "Dragonball Z Budokai Special Movie Version", they could make over the whole DBZ storyline using the movie's. Like first would be Garlic Jr's story and end around the Tapion story...I think THAT would be cool.
Agreed! More What-If scenarios! (I haven’t played DBZB3 yet mind so I don’t know what scenarios, if any, feature in that game and I’d prefer it if you didn’t tell me).SonGokuGT wrote:I'm with you all the way! I LOVE the "What Ifs"! Talking about original Stories....
When you play with Broly on DU. Are you playing the 2nd Broly's movie Right? That one with Goten And Trunks. But when you find Gokou he says he dont know who Broly is. How can this be posible? they fight him in the first movie right?
by the way i didnt get any new capsule beating gokou with broly the second time on DU.

Bebi Vegita in regular form would be fine. As far as Oozaru goes...Cloud_Graywords wrote:i dont know the idea of big monters dont like me.... like those Dragons and "monkey" bebi-Vegita..... in Final Bout was not good....was easy and you just see the half of his body..... not good....
Well, Final Bout was Final Bout. I'm certain that Dimps would be able to program the matches a bit better work with Oozarus... either restrict them to air so the viewing field is even, or stretch out the screen so that both can be seen.
Some of the Dragons were kind of big, yes... but the ones I had in mind for keeping (1-Star and 4-Star) are both 'regular' size, so they wouldn't be a big deal.

yes yes. You are totaly right... but Still they cant left behind those big monsters and i really think those kind of characters are not for a fighting game and also its so unfair playing 2 players because you use Oozaru Babi and you hit the other player and problaly take a lof of damage to him. Still dont like me the idea. I'm agree with see 1-star and 4-star and regular babiEndishiki wrote:Bebi Vegita in regular form would be fine. Huh. I'll need to rewatch those episodes, as, at the moment, I can only remember 3-Star being responsible for blinding Goku.Caracal wrote:Maybe, but he put up a half decent fight (better than the other four), and being able to freeze is a decent power in my eyes (so is Thunder, but it's a shame it got wasted so badly).Endishiki wrote:Pfeh, 3-Star could freeze. 4-Star could burn. Tiencha... and Piccolo fuses with Kuririn! Tiencha and Piririn go off to save the day! They could double team Super 17 and do a better job of holding him off than Vegita ever did.

As I stated above. Let's say Bebi decided to possess Goku, and it was up to Vegita to stop him. Let's say Piccolo uncovered the conspiracy behind the Dragon Balls, and decided to take on each dragon while they're weaker. Etc, etc...
"I am an Android from the future, destined to absorb 17 and 18. ~<3"
He also managed to freeze Goku's entire body, and told 4-Star to kill him. However 4-Star thought this was an un-honourable way to fight (which it was) and thawed Goku instead of killing him.Endishiki wrote:Huh. Actually, I can't see any of the Humans being stronger than Frieza, ever. Not on their own. But they could have a 'what if' story with them being on Namek instead of dead. And then at the final battle against Frieza they fuse into Tiencha and kick his butt. ^^
I also think the next Budokai game needs a character creator feature so that I can make all my Fanfic OC's and figth them against people. Lastly, a "Fusion Generator" where you can fuse to random people and get somehting interesting out of it. Hehehe, imagine, Frieza and Hercule! Or how about, Tien and Vegeta! Or maybe a Saibamen and Vegeta! Or! Best of all! Videl and 18! ^_^

They need team battles. Badly. It would be really awesome for a story mode, especially with co-op play.
I think a character creator would be a waste of space. I'd rather they consentrate on gameplay and more characters (DB and DBZ).
Speaking of characters, I hope they don't fill it with GT characters since:
A) They look like hell.
B) They have generic/dumb/boring attacks.
Hell, I'd be happy with the CURRENT roster if they just spent time heavily fleshing them out and making them each unique.

This was something I was working on back before Budokai 3. It's what characters I wanted in a GT Budokai. The roster and moves look a bit outdated, because it was made about a year ago, but I thought you'd like to at least give it a peek:
Goku-
Normal Costume- What he's wearing at the beginning of GT (when he's training Uub and encounters Pilaf)
Alternate Costume- His normal DBZ outfit
Alternate Costume 2- End of DBZ outfit
Transformations:
Super Saiyan
Super Saiyan 2
Super Saiyan 3
Specials:
Kamehameha
Continuous Kamehameha
Spirit Bomb (Non-SS only)
Power Pole Beat - Goku whips out his power pole and does a quick 5-hit combo, ending with a knockdown attack. Short, but effective, especially against airborne opponents.
Dragon Throw
Death Moves (AKA Supers):
Warp Kamehameha
Super Spirit Bomb (Non-SS only)
Super Dragon Fist - Goku performs an uppercut strike that goes right through the opponent, with a huge golden dragon encircling in the background. The Dragon then wraps around the opponent and crushes them.
Kid Goku-
Normal Costume- His normal GT uniform (purple shirt, yellow pants)
Alternate Costume- Kame-Style Gi, like in DB
Transformations:
Super Saiyan
Super Saiyan 3
Super Saiyan 4
Specials:
Kamehameha
Continuous Kamehameha
Dragon Throw
High-Speed Hammer
Jackhammer
Death Moves:
Super Dragon Fist - See Goku
Ultimate Spirit Bomb (Non-SS only) - "Please, everyone. This is the only way. Lend me your energy." Goku gathers energy from the entire universe for a freakin' MASSIVE spirit bomb.
10x Kamehameha (SS4 only) - Huge-ass Kamehameha
Fusions:
SS4 Gogeta (SS4 only) - If Fusion command is not input correctly, Goku turns into a kid again during the Fusion and the resulting fighter looks like a wonky, SS4 version of DBZ Gotenks.
SS4 Vegeto (WHAT IF - SS4 only) Imagine the DBZ Vegeto, with spikier, red hair, purple under black clothes as opposed to orange under blue, and a tail. Bigger muscles, too
Pan-
Normal Costume- Her regular GT duds
Alternate Costume- A gi similar to what she wore at the end of DBZ and while sparring with Satan's men in GT
Alternate Costume 2- Spacesuit and bandana
Transformations:
High-Strung
Specials:
Kamehameha
Eagle Kick
Leopard Shot
Continous Kamehameha
Jackforce Combo - Pan's multiple punch and kick combo (28 hits)
Robot Alliance - Pan's grab technique. Pan grabs onto the opponent with both arms. Giru appears and shoots a laser several times in the opponent's back. Then, Pan plants her foot into the opponent's stomach and flips them over her head.
Death Move:
Vacuum Kamehameha - Pan powers up for several seconds, then blasts the opponent with a Kamehameha that might rival her ol' pop's Super Kamehameha
Trunks-
Normal Costume- Regular GT clothes
Alternate Costume- Jacket removed
Transformations:
Super Saiyan
Specials:
Buster Cannon
Blast Attack
Energy Burst
Double Buster
Brave Sabre - Trunks dashes toward the opponent. The player and opponent press a button, and if the opponent chooses a button the player didn't, Trunks slashes through them in what I call an "Anime-style slash" (runs past them, slashes, and a few seconds later, the opponent falls down). If the opponent presses the correct button, they stick their leg out and trip Trunks as he attempts to slash them, doing minimal damage
Unfolding Buster - Trunks' 9 hit (10 hit if button mashing/joystick rotation is successful) ki blast
Kamehameha
Grand Impulse
Death Move:
Burning Attack (SS only)
Fusions:
Teen Gotenks (WHAT IF) - Basically, an older-looking, less goofy Gotenks
Uub
Normal Costume - Normal GT clothes
Alternate Costume - Papayaman Costume
Transformations:
Majuub
Specials:
Angle Swan Kick - Uub leaps into the air and comes down with a diagonal kick, similar to Great Saiyaman's Justice Punch
Gehenna Blast - Uub's 9 hit (10 hit if button mashing/joystick rotation is successful) ki blast
Buu Strength - Uub's multiple punch and kick combo (30 hits)
Rap Fist - Uub knocks the opponent into the air with a punch, than flies up next to them and backhands them to the ground. The player and opponent press a button, and if the opponent chooses a button the player didn't, Uub flies into the opponent and stomps on them. If the opponent presses the correct button, they roll away from the final blow.
Finishing Punch - Uub punches the opponent hard enough to knock them almost all the way across the arena.
Merry Swing
Death Move:
Chocolate Beam (Majuub only) - Uub knocks the opponent into the air with an uppercut, then flies up next to them and hammer punches them to the ground. The player has to input the on-screen commands for the attack to continue (like in Fusion Dances). If the command is correct, Uub turns the opponent into a chocolate bar inhales them, chews on them, and spits them out as normal. If the command is incorrect, the attack simply misses.
Gohan-
Normal Costume - Regular GT suit
Alternate Costume - Master Roshi-style gi, with glasses
Transformations:
Super Saiyan
Super Saiyan 2
Elder Kai Unlock Ability (Mystic)
Specials:
Kamehameha
Continuous Kamehameha

Jackhammer Slash
Instant Killquick
Death Move:
Super Kamehameha
Goten-
Normal Costume - Regular GT clothes
Alternate Costume - End of DBZ tournament gi
Transformations:
Kamehameha
Specials:
Kamehameha
Continuous Kamehameha
Jackhammer
Super Dragon Fist
Totsugeki - Goten knocks the opponent into the air with a backhand, then kicks them to the ground. The player and opponent press a button, and if the opponent chooses a button the player didn't, Goten flies into the opponent and tackles them. If the opponent presses the correct button, they roll away from the final blow.
Death Move:
Team Up Bomber - Trunks comes in, and the two stand back-to-back and blast a huge beam at the opponent (the move they used to kill #19 in Super 17 Saga, but bigger)
Fusions:
Teen Gotenks (WHAT IF) - Basically, an older-looking, less goofy Gotenks

SS4 Vegeto (WHAT IF - SS4 only) Imagine the DBZ Vegeto, with spikier, red hair, purple under black clothes as opposed to orange under blue, and a tail. Bigger muscles, too

Rilldo Rocket Tackle - Rilldo's grab technique. Rilldo flies forward and tackles the opponent
Death Move:
Metal Splash - Rilldo knocks the opponent into the air with an uppercut. The player button mashes or rotates the left analog joystick as quickly as possible to charge up the move (if the meter is full, the attack does more damage). Rilldo then causes a large ball of metal to pop out of the ground, which flies up and incases the opponent. The ball flies around and bounces off of the ground like a pinball. The opponent is released after 9 hits.

He turns around and sees a random character (Gohan, Goten, Trunks, Vegeta, or two WHAT IFs - Kid Goku, Pan), shoots them with a Splinter Beam, then enters their body. Until Baby's Ki meter is depleted to 0, the player controls that character (NOTE: If Vegeta is there, he becomes Baby Vegeta instead).

Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!
If they do end up making a DBZ B4, they should make it for the ps3(It was only said B3 was likely the last DBZ Budokai for the ps2). Budokai 3 was great, but still has room for improvements.
One thing they should change is Dragon Rush. it'd be be better if it had more variety, was less time consuming, didn't happen as often, and relied on skill more than luck.
There are still DBZ characters many want that could be included like Pikhan, Janenba, 13, and even Bulma(She would've been such an interesting character in B3 if they had included her as it seems they originaly planned). I hope they don't bother with GT characters(If it's a Z game, it should focus on DBZ. When I think of Goku at his best in anything Z related, I think ssj3.). Ii Shenron and the ssj4 forms didn't seem to fit in in my oppinion(Perhaps just because they're GT things, complete with ugly designs and the fact that their very existences are just major plotholes that make no sense like most GT things lol).
For the story mode, it would be neat if they could make it like a mix of DU and B1's story mode. They could try and slightly change and fit some of the more important movies relating to certain movie characters into the story. Like events with Cooler could be possible between the Frieza and Cell sagas, Broly's story could be just before the Cell games(and probably continue later on) ect. It could be so you can follow the normal story by doing everything the way it's supposed to be from the start to end of DBZ(Forget GT, it's much better off without it because if it included GT things, it would be all about making no sense at all. Because that's what GT is all about, it's all about making absolutely no sense and ruining characters ect! lol I think it'd be better off even for them to just remove Ii and the ssj4s so it'd be pure DBZ. Too bad they can't get Toriyama to design anything for games, maybe he could design a form called "True ssj4" for Goku as a "what-if", it could be a true ssj4(as in it follows the pattern of the previous ones by being what surpasses ssj3) to replace GT's form which should not be known as ssj4(it defies everything a ssj is!) but rather"Butt-ugly-plothole-monkey-form"
) or take different paths by doing different things that could lead to numerous "what-ifs"(like a road that you can follow from start to finish or make several turns leading to many more paths). Like one that leads to a story where some time machine that has a radio that can speak through time is made and ends up in the past where Kid Goku ends up finding it and going to the future(that was apparently the idea for the DU they had planned for Kid Goku in B3). It'd be cool to see cut scenes with guys like Gokule/Gotan/Kakarotan(whatever you want to call that Goku and Mr. Satan fusion lol), maybe instead of scenes with the game models they could make it animated scenes like B3's intro(I'd just love seeing new DBZ scenes made today, the animation they're capable of today is way better, and it'd be cool to really see some what-if guy like Tiencha/Yamhan in action lol). You could play as heros and bad guys and the normal stories or several what-if things as you get them. I loved the "what-ifs" from the previous games, I was quite disappointed that we not only got no new ones, but also had the ones that were already there removed. It'd be cool to see even more fusions and majins ect that could be encountered in what-if stories(If people really want "Piririn", the Kuririn and Piccolo fusion Toriyama drew, then there could be a what-if where Piccolo reveals he can make himself shrink just like he can grow and does that to match Kuririn's size, then the two of them succeed at fusion and "Piririn" saves the day!
) and you make them playable(like a babidi's mind control for Broly or Cell where they could get involved in events with babidi in a what-if story ect). That'd take a lot of work, but would be cool. I like the possibility of all the new things that could be born through the power of "what-if?"

I was really sad to see that they didn't put Tiencha in Budokai 3, i thought that it was a really cool character (maybe i say that because Tenshinhan and Yamcha are two characters i really like). I also think that they shouldn't have removed Tenshinhan's "volleyball" attack. Don't get me wrong, the shin kikoho is great but they could have also kept the "volleyball" attack. Tenshinhan only has 3 attacks, that's not enough.
Concerning the scenarios, i would have loved to see more "what ifs". That's one thing i never agree about with other French fans. They say that it disrespects Toriyama's work. But when i first saw Majin Frieza and Majin Cell, it caught me totally off guard but i loved it.
How many times will we have to go over the same story ? It's not a knock on the basic storyline, it's just that alternative stories could be a nice change.

same here... Majin Freeza and Cell was so good i like it so much. And about play the same story line. I'm little bored to play the same storyline all the time. Alternative Stories are great and intresting because you see what happend if.... (errr yeah thats why they call them "What if Stories")LaRésistance wrote: But when i first saw Majin Freeza and Majin Cell, it caught me totally off guard but i loved it.

Maybe they should do one called Dragonball Budokai Generations or something, that has a medley of characters from DB, DBZ, and DBGT, including movies and specials.

yeah that sounds pretty good but you know why they dont put ALL DB chars in the games? i think is because of the disk Space they cant do all what they want because of the limits of DVDs or CD roms. If i where the guy who made the game then i put all chars of DB even those useless guys... like the Frezza generic warrios or that guy who fights vegeta in babidis ship. The S wrote:Maybe they should do one called Dragonball Budokai Generations or something, that has a medley of characters from DB, DBZ, and DBGT, including movies and specials.
Limit Space Sucks....

I didn't say that EVERY character had to be in there. A medley designates a combination of, not the entirity of.

I've just realised that if Budokai 4 is made, i would really like to see Gohan from Trunks' future as a playable character. I think he is way cooler than the regular Gohan (attitude and style wise). If they make a game with "what if" scenarios like in Budokai 2, then they can put him in the game.
