I'm guessing the sketch of nappa has something to do with brothers or something?

Seeing Table and Vegeta and Raditz in his "I'm your BROTHER" pose.

Maybe he wants a little bro?

I'd bet money it has something to do with Raditz's statement that only 4 Saiyans total survived the destruction of planet Vegeta, and how the new special makes that a small plot hole. Maybe he brought it up because that part was in Kai episode 2 and it wasn't retconned?

Well... we don't really know who knew about Tarble's destiny. Only King Vegeta and Vegeta, maybe it was a secret and no one else knew what happened.

Well.. yeah. Every time I see Raditz saying that line I think "yeah.. only 4 Saiyans... plus Tullece, and Paragus and his son Brolly, oh and Tarble too, oh and then there's that fat guy Onio... apart from those, only 4 yes."

So you know... maybe Raditz just didn't know.

Here's the way I see it.

Tullece = Not canon
Paragus = Thought to be dead(?)
Broli = Thought to be just a legend(?)
Tarble = Probably thought to be dead (It appeared that even Vegeta was surprised by his existence, but that's just me.)
Onio = NOT canon

Or maybe Raditz, which clearly wasn't in planet Vegeta at the time and since he was probably young by the time the planet exploded, and since he is not really an elite Saiyan, there's a high chance that he was sent to some planet as a baby, thus not knowing for sure who survived.

I figure that the ultimate fate of Tarble was a secret since having a royal Saiyan who is a pacifistic weakling would probably be a very shameful and controversial subject. So, when Raditz says "4" I'm thinking that he doesn't know of Tarble.

We've known for ages that weak Saiyans were sent off to weak planets. Goku is a prime example. Tarble was extremely weak so he was sent away for good. That's how I see it, anyway.

Toyble asks if everyone has seen DragonBall Kai. He says that its tempo is good and it is incredibly easy to watch. He thinks that the opening and ending themes are a little childish, but of course this suits the intended audience. It feels like they were crafted to be suitable for today’s kids, Hironobu Kageyama having too deep a sound. Toyble says his Sundays are now more enjoyable (but he wonders if Kai is broadcast at different times depending on the region). Ultimately he would have been the happiest if they had made a completely new sequel series like the new anime special, but this is second best. It’s better than remaking the same story from nothing (I guess he means a completely reanimated version of DBZ), since if they were going to make brand-new animation he’d want a new story as well. If Kai is a hit, then the day might come when we’ll be able to see a new DB TV series.

As a change of subject, Toyble mentions Raditz’s line to Goku “Even counting you, there are merely four Saiyans remaining! I and one of the others were spared because we were off attacking other planets, while the remaining one was luckily sent away to some planet, just like you were.”

Toyble was thinking that they might just cut out this contradictory line However, in Kai Raditz still says the original line as bold as you please (for the record, Viz actually did change this line in their translation of the manga). The part about there being four Saiyans left seems correct enough, but the part about one of the surviving Saiyans having been simply “sent way” like Goku was seems like it must be a different person than either Vegeta or Nappa. Nappa served as Vegeta’s close attendant ever since Vegeta was little, and in the Barduck TV special the two were shown being off attacking another planet when Planet Vegeta was destroyed. So then who’s this other surviving Saiyan? Toyble says that for many years this line was a contradiction, but now it’s been resolved. That’s right, Raditz was talking about Tarble! Tarble was sent off to a remote planet for having a low battle power, so the line fits him exactly. But then, wouldn’t that make five survivors? Toyble says Raditz was probably forgetting about Nappa.

That’s what the picture is about. Raditz, apparently explaining things to Goku, is shown thinking of Tarble and Vegeta. Nappa doesn’t like being forgotten, and is crying “H-hey, Raditz!”.

Ooh, digging the new doodle. Raditz looks sooo evil... and then I look up and see Nappa pushing through his thought bubbles XD.

I didn't even know such a problem existed with that line. Though scrolling through the Kai discussion, I'm of the opinion that the other one sent away was Raditz, but he just doesn't want to admit it, so he talks as if it's someone else. It would've been more enjoyable to have that line clarified, maybe with Raditz having some kind of inner monologue about how he was actually the other one besides Goku that was sent away, but meh... it's fine as is, I guess.

It's a follow-up to the last post, analyzing why Raditz would say there are only four surviving Saiyans when, counting Turles, Broli, Paragas, Onio, and Tarble, there are nine (because all those guys are anime-only! [or gag manga-only, in Onio's case]). Toyble goes through each of those extra survivors and explains why he thinks Raditz wouldn't know about them or wouldn't mention them. I'll do a full summary later.
