Goku + Gohan = ?

So in the series, Goku and Gohan almost used the potera to fuse if I recall correctly. I was wondering the other day, what kind of person would the Goku and Gohan fusion be? What would his name be? How would he fight? What would his face look like? What would his hair be like? Which woman would he choose?

I think that while fighting, he wouldn't waste his time and he wouldn't feel the need to show off his power or toy with his opponent like Vegetto. I think his hair would actually grow, but at half the rate that Gohan's did. I also think that he would have to choose Videl.

What are your thoughts?

I don't understand why Potara fusions need partners.

I think it would have a slightly less messy version of Goku's hair, with a strand of hair on his face.

His name is Gohan......

He would be even more powerfull than Vegetto and would destroy buu in a second.

So he wouldn't try to free Piccolo, Trunks, and Goten? Remember that that's the whole reason Vegetto toyed with Buu.

He didn`t need to.

He could just bring them back to life with the dragon balls. He could do that as long as the Earth was intact and Dende was alive.

But i guess that he perhaps would try just like Vegetto did. But Vegetto also toyed with him due to Vegeta`s personality, not just because he wanted to save them.

He would be immensely strong. Probably even stronger than SSJ Vegetto in his Base.

I'm guessing he'd look like Goku with Teen Gohan's (alright, he's not a teenager) hair, ya know? Only more pointy at the back. Maybe with a mixed Purple gi with Blue undershirt and Orange waist band thingy.

Wouldn't he be wearing the same outfit?, Gohan is in an orange gi at this point.

Their fusion would probably be exactly like Goku/Gohan but with Yamcha's hair during the Artificial Humans saga.

Gokhan (pronounced Go-Khan? Or Gok-han maybe...but that sounds a bit awkward out loud) might do. What do you mean about not understanding why potara fusions need partners though? That's the whole point of fusion.

I wonder if Gokhan would be more powerful than Vegetto. I mean, sure, Gohan had great power at that point. But part of the reason that Vegetto was so powerful was that Goku and Vegeta "live to outdo each other". Them being rivals made the fusion even better somehow.

We know from the latest guide that Potara fusions cause a multiplication of some sort. We've always known that fusion characters are stronger than the sum of their parts, Potara ones even more so. Maybe it works by adding the powers of the two characters together, then multiplies them a certain amount based on compatibility. Vegetto's multiplication must have been big, and then he went Super Saiyajin on top of that.

I guess it's hard to say. Gohan didn't need Super Saiyajin to be hugely powerful at that point. Would being father and son grant a comparable boost? Who knows.

As for personality, I don't think he would change drastically. Goku and Gohan were quite similar at that point, except Goku liked to fight for fun to a much greater degree than Gohan did. I mean, yeah, Goku and Gohan have different personalities, but they're far more similar than Goku and Vegeta.

He might not be as good a fighter as Vegetto overall (and by that I mean strategies and such, which Vegeta tends to be good at).

Way stronger then Vegito. Gohan was way above Vegeta, and even though the Kaioshin mentions the rivalry aspect--he still mentions that they have the power, also. I think the rivalry helps, but the individuals also need the power, or they would be useless like Kaioshin and Kibito.

I kinda wish he would have long hair, like Old School Gohan. Not enough characters had long hair if you ask me.

Also he would obviously be stronger than Vegetto because Gohan was superior to Vegeta because of the Elder Kai Power up.

As for a name, hmm. I doubt Kakarotto would be used as I always assume it was only used because of Vegeta's influence.

Maybe Gohanku? That doesn't sound terrible.

Fusion adds one syllable of the first name to two syllables of the other name. So with Goku and Gohan we'd get one of the following:

-Gokuhan
-Gohanku
-Gogoku
-Gogohan

...and with Kakarotto and Gohan we'd get:

-Kakahan
-Kagohan
-Gohanto
-Gorotto

But that would still be wrong. Gokan would love Chidel as a mother and as a lover.
And Gokan would love Chidel and at the same time being cheating on his wife.
He can, and he can't.

The universe would implode in this paradox!

At least with Vegetto we would get Chilma or Bulchi. And they could still be a mother and a wife.

He would be weaker than Vegetto.

1. The difference between Base Goku and Mystic Gohan is freaking enormous, far larger than the difference between Goku and Hercule, which Goku was worried about "increasing my power from 1000 to 1001...or it might even go down...".

2. Gokhan would be stuck in base form because Gohan no longer has the Super Saiyan transformations. Even if Gokhan is superior to Vegetto at base, Vegetto has SSJ1 and SSJ2, possibly even SSJ3 to call on.

3. Out of story reason: he would have a weaker enemy to fight. Gotenks' fusion was about to break up, and even if Buu absorbed Vegeta, he'd still be much weaker than Gohan-Buu.

If Vegetto has the ability to reach the SSJ3 form, why wouldn't Gokhan gain Gohan's "mystic" thang? To be able to release his power without using the SSJ transformations? If the lock that kept Gohan's latent power was opened, it may have done that on Gokhan too.

Also, if only Goku is able to transform into a SSJ3, and Vegetto can do it, wouldn't Gokhan be able to reach SSJ3?

Bah, I don't know. It's too confusing.
