"DZZEE" is an odd sound effect, then again what other sound effect would you use for a ki shield? Judging Belzebub's pose on the last panel, I'm guessing he's going to try and break through Cell's Ki shield by force.

The original sound was "Djiiiii," which is like a high-pitched "geeeee" (or arguably "duh-geee" in which the "duh" is very soft and very quick). That's why I find it's a useless translation; the "djiiii" doesn't require translation.Scarz wrote:"DZZEE" is an odd sound effect, then again what other sound effect would you use for a ki shield? And I think you meant "Dabura" not "Beelzebub."
Hee hee. It's funny 'cause it's true.Pain wrote:Toriyama's probably thinking the same thing.KaiserNeko wrote: Wait, Dabura blows fire... ? I forget if he did.

I'm starting to wonder how this fight will be. There are two possible trains of thought to the Dabura/Gohan fight-That he was SSJ1, and that he was SSJ2. We and my friend had arguments over this, so I went to the manga. Oddly enough, Gohan's hair was SSJ2 Gohan's hair, not SSJ1 Gohan's hair, yet there was a lack of lightning. Conflicting moment.
I'm thinking the creators of this fantastic webcomic subscribe to the SSJ1 theory, if I read the page about their powers right, which is a bit of a shame. Why would Gohan not go SSJ2 for Dabura, yet got SSJ2 by request for Kibito? Especially since Dabura wasn't really all that exhausted or taken aback by the fight, Gohan was more worn and torn.
Still, this little debate aside, I do like the return of 17's barrier in Cell.

Ah, I see. I've also seen "Djiii" used in other mangas or at least something very similar.Dayspring wrote:The original sound was "Djiiiii," which is like a high-pitched "geeeee" (or arguably "duh-geee" in which the "duh" is very soft and very quick). I know. I just like calling the character by other "hellish" names besides Dabura a la Diabolos, Devil, Demon, Lord of Darkness, Jimmy Page, etc.And I think you meant "Dabura" not "Beelzebub."
http://www.dragonball-multiverse.com/en/strip-8.html = New mini-manga. They present their manga to Tori-bot... who can't read it because it's not vertical and right-to-left.
http://www.dragonball-multiverse.com/en/page-114.html = New page. Translation is very accurate. "Such" can arguably be translated as "what," but both imply the exact same context of what's being said.
Death or stone spit should be coming soon.

Nice little mini-comic. As for the new page... I bet Dabra's about to get turned into swiss cheese.

Either the author of this is picking favorites with Cell, or Dabra is acting like a weakling.JulieYBM wrote:Page 115 is up, and dang does Cell have the advantage. This fight is probably the best yet, or at least right up there with Nail v. ReaCoome.

I mean, why is Dabra so weak? Cell hasn't gotten any stronger, since his battle with Son Gohan, so they should be about even, right?JulieYBM wrote:Dabra was pretty tired out in the last panel. After all, all of Dabra's attacks have been neutralized pretty much, not to mention Cell's probably regrown his body after that fire attack so his body's a little less worn out (even with less ki).

I'd guess it's not so much Dabra being weak, but Cell is just stronger for some reason. We don't know how things progressed in this Cell's universe... He might have won the Cell Games and then gone on to absorb the rest of Earth's population, or something like that.Pain wrote:I mean, why is Dabra so weak?
