I've been wondering this too.VegettoEX wrote:Screen shots and video will only go so far when it comes to PAL conversions like this. It's ultimately all about where your video is going to end up for your own viewing. Are you going to watch it on a TV or on your computer? Does your TV/DVD player handle PAL video on its own already? Is it going to do any funny stuff to the video? Are you going to upscale it to 720/1080 on an HDTV, and if so, is the TV or a receiver going to handle the upscale, and what kind of deinterlacing work does it do on its own?Innagadadavida wrote:Can you post some screen caps and/or video from the Madman box sets? I think maybe what I might need to do is take an off-screen video of both of my DVD player -> receiver -> TV setups (HD and non-HD) to show just examples of how it might be displayed and viewed...
What if I plan to watch it on my Computer Via VLC, and Rip the Video files directly to my computer as AVIs with a DVD ripping program? (so I can then burn them out to their own US Discs if I want to see it on a TV)
What would that look like?
