Mee in particular looks just like a cross between No.17 and the cave woman from Chrono Trigger.

A don't think there are any other named characters besides those three. Mee+Shin for "machine" wouldn't really work, because in Japanese the English word "machine" is pronounced "mashin", not "meshin". I think Mee is just a play off of Muu, just as with the dog Bee and Buu.
Which ones do you have now? Lady Red, Tokimecha, Awawa World Part 1... Are there others? EDIT: The special chapter of Dr Slump (for the Slumpbox) that came out in 2007, mayhaps?!
I don't have that one yet. I do have Bubul of Majin Village though.

I don't really understand the point of this.
If he wanted to re-hash Dragonball, why not just re-draw Dragonball? Or had his memory become so hazy that he didn't realize he was basically copying and pasting work and characters he had already done?
Didn't he mention that one of the reasons he was ending Dragonball was to pursue other types of stories? Turning in stuff like this, and Neko Majin makes it clear that he should have either continued the Dragonball series or quit drawing manga entirely-- his creativity has been utterly tapped.

There's more to a manga than art, you know. Toriyama has a distinct, identifiable art style, but Dragon Ball also has a distinct and focused storyline that isn't very flexible for any kind of drastic change in direction. Starting a new manga series allows Toriyama to reuse or modify designs to his liking in a new context; a new storyline that isn't bound by the trends and restrictions that an already-established franchise set in stone many, many years ago.
Basically, this
is Toriyama exploring other types of stories. He sticks to his roots, but it's pretty obvious that, despite the aesthetic similarities, Tokimecha is something new and totally separate from Dragon Ball.

Seems like someone hasn't read
Cowa!,
Kajika, or

Nice art, that pictures with that lady in fur reminds me of Ayla from Chrono Trigger, of which I'm a big fan

FighterZ, Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat: Funky_Strudel
PS5: Dynamixx88
Trust me, I'm millenial and a designer.

メエ. You can see the katakana names for the three main characters in the second title page (the one with the tricerotops), since the chapter title is "Tai and Muu and Mee".

Ah, I see. I was thinking the four names together would make a pun on
taimumashin instead of be the word itself chopped up (like how Bibidi, Babidi, Boo isn't Bippity Boppity Boo). Don't suppose
taimuu mee is a pun on "time me." You're probably right about the Muu/Mee, Buu/Bee idea.

Oh wow. I'm eager to see if Bubul's brother is Jose from
Cowa! or just another re-used character design. With Alien X Peke, you now have every manga (aside the Dr Slump chapter) I haven't read. I am very happy you and Hujio will be doing this project.
@Others: Just to be clear, Tokimeka isn't a new series, it's a one-shot written back in '96.

I'm aware. My use of "new" was relative in comparison to Dragon Ball, in the sense that it's something totally different and separate from Dragon Ball as a series.

By the way, Herms, here's a RAW of Sachi-chan Guu, if you don't have a copy but wanted to scanslate it. It's by Toriyama and Masakazu Katsura (creator of the
Zetman manga) and came out last year in JUMP SQ.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=OKXYUM8W
If someone wants to convert this to a zip file, I'd be very grateful.

Or better yet, scanslating it in zip!

Is there any reason why you can't zip it? I always thought rar's and zip's were practically the same thing.

For some deranged reason I can't view rar files. So if I were to convert it a zip file, it would be full of broken files.
Is it a pay program? Maybe viewing zip is free, whereas the other features aren't?

Winrar is free. That's what I use. It keeps wanting me to pay for it but I just click ignore and go on my way.

I made a zip of the file. Hopes this works for you.

Isn't there already a Tokimeca manga? By Naoko Takeuchi?

Yeah, but Takeuchi's Toki-Meca came out in 2001, while Toriyama's Tokimecha came out in late 1996.
