Now Tenshinhan is officially in the game. Hopefully playable in some way or form (wasn't there going to be a Versus mode?). Neat stuff.

Before seeing that video, I didn't even think of the Tenkaichi Budokai being included, yet I was hyped already.

I forgot to add this in my last post, but I have to mention the music in that teaser video. IT'S AWESOME! If this sets the tone for the soundtrack for this game, it'll be a feast to my ears.

I disagree. They were better than Sonic the hedgehog (ps3/360) and secert rings (wii) But were only on par with Heroes (ps2/xbox/NGC) and no where near as good as Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 (dreamcast and NGC)sangofe wrote:Everybody seems to forget how great the Sonic parts of Sonic Unleashed were.SSJmole wrote:Is that a good thing or a bad thing? So they were good compared to the bad but not as good as the great. Like the baby vs Goku fight on GT was great compared to GT's fights but compare it to Majin vegeta vs Goku and ....well it fails.
Again just my opinion.

That's a little bit unfair to compare them to SA1 and SA2 though considering that among many fans of the series those are considered the best games, including myself.SSJmole wrote:But were only on par with Heroes (ps2/xbox/NGC) and no where near as good as Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 (dreamcast and NGC)sangofe wrote:Everybody seems to forget how great the Sonic parts of Sonic Unleashed were.SSJmole wrote: Is that a good thing or a bad thing? This game has So.....Much.....Potential. In my head I'm thinking like interaction with Popo while training on the Lookout and thinks of that sort. I sort of wish they would have added the Pilaf saga, so we could have slowly met everyone, but who knows they still may be able to add those things.
I ALREADY want a sequel....but how could they do they? Id play a DBZ game if they did it exactly like that. THEN we could finally play through the movies as well and all those tiny side people they never add in the fighting games. Id Live to play the movies and things like Babdids ship in that style of game.

The bear thief was in one of the screenshots, so at least some of that will be in there.LeprikanGT wrote:I sort of wish they would have added the Pilaf saga, so we could have slowly met everyone, but who knows they still may be able to add those things.

I hope this isn't necro-posting.
I played the game at E3 last week and I have to say....
It's a bit ho-hum.
Now, they had about...20+ playable levels (I think it was almost the final Japanese build of the game) and unfortunately the levels were a bit uninspired past their initial theme. I'm hoping that I just caught a few bad levels and that there is more to the game than what I played.
It is a basic beat-em-up that repeats the level design halfway through some of it's levels. Example: I defeated a few enemies in the Korin Tower area and then I fought a mid level boss (?) and then I played through the second half of the level that looked exactly like the first half. I was a bit disappointed. Granted, there are a few things in the teaser trailer that I didn't play and those still look fun so there is hope yet!
The basic controls work by using the A button for attack, and then you use the z (or was it c?) trigger on the nunchuck to lock onto enemies and lifts and then dash toward them thus starting a combo. Most of the enemies died in one hit. When you are beating up enemies you have 3 bars that fill up under your life. When one fills up, you can then use your special attack (usually Kamehameha). I did not see the option for other characters but I am hoping the final version has the option. All in all it was fun, but from what I played so far it is a rental.
There was one good thing: They recorded a new song for the intro! I couldn't tell who was singing it but it sounded great and dragonballish (if I'm remembering correctly). Unfortunately the opening used cel shaded graphics and not traditional hand drawn animation. I guess you can't win em all
For what it's worth it looked pretty good though.
Hope this was helpful and not rehashing old info. Also, sorry if this is a bit....grammatically impaired. It's late!

My short animated film (has some violence): http://youtu.be/ovT8mbYE85E
I wouldn't count on an E3 demo being an accurate depiction of the final product, personally--they usually have to rush those to get something playable out, and several games end up drastically different from their appearance at several different gaming expos. If there appears to be half-assed level design now, you can bet that it will likely be sorted out by the game's release.
No need to get disappointed, folks--there's still a lot to come!
