Really, if warping around is any indication of strength or speed according to you then Rock Lee or Might Guy is equal or greater in strength than Luffy and that is not counting if they use the Hachimon Tonkou. Naruto in any of the Tailed States and particularly Sage Mode surpasses both Lee and Guy. It all comes down to Japan’s opinion and nothing of any substance thus Luffy is in the top five.MisterFlashdude wrote:Like I said, he couldn't stand up against any of the Saiya-jin.Saiyan-Professor wrote:I seriously doubt a fake Kaiô-Ken would make Luffy stronger than Vegeta or even a One-Tailed Naruto (Sage Mode for Naruto or Super Saiyan for Vegeta would be overkill). Concerning the humans Tenshinhan, Kuririn and even Yamcha would make short work of him.
Naruto's got a lot of strength and potent skills now, but Luffy's about his equal in strength and utterly surpassing him in speed. Naruto can't fight someone who can consistently move faster than the bare eye can perceive. Yet.
And I simply disagree that Luffy couldn't stand up against the human Dragonball characters. He's got the speed, building-demolishing force behind his punches and a nice array of melee abilities. I suppose his biggest disadvantage would be his inability to fly or fight at a distance. But it wouldn't be an easy fight for any of the Dragonball humans.
The Saiyans are very much like the Klingons and Jem'Hadar.

That's somewhat different. Some characters in Naruto spontaneously teleport, but that particular technique never really comes into play during a fight.
Lee shows absurd speed in that fight but it's only after opening several Hachimon, like you said, and using Ura Renge which... caused his muscles to shred apart and almost killed him. Even Yondaime's "speed" is shown to be a matter of teleportation scrolls.
I chose my words very carefully. No one in Naruto has ever shown the ability to consistently move faster than the eye can perceive. Granted, Lee and Guy can move really fast without putting their life at risk but not as fast or as easily as Luffy can using Soru.
When Luffy couldn't use this ability and the CP9 members could, he simply had no chance. When he figured it out and improved on it, he decimated them. Naruto would be as effective against Luffy as Luffy was against the members of CP9 before he could use Soru.
Or as effective as a pumped up Trunks was against Cell, to use a more Daizex-appropriate example..
I do, however, think I'm nerd-ranting too fervently over such a silly matter and this is my last entry in the Naruto vs Luffy fightclub.

I do not know anything about that show/manga (One Piece) after a certain point (it does not interest me) I was going off that youtube link you posted earlier. It is just a technique the same as opening the Hachimon. Luffy’s Second and even Third Gear is just a rip off of something Mr. Fantastic most likely performed years ago or some variation of it. I still believe there is nothing special about him and thus his #5 spot is not deserved.MisterFlashdude wrote:That's somewhat different. No, not quite. Luffy's power's are a bit different, as he can't slide underneath doors like Reed can by flattening himself. He just stretches, extends, pumps air into his bones, and can increase his speed and strength by increasing his metabolism. Pretty inventive and unique only to him in his world.Saiyan-Professor wrote:I do not know anything about that show/manga (One Piece) after a certain point (it does not interest me) I was going off that youtube link you posted earlier. Uhh did you read the full extent of Mr. Fantastic abilities? I did not say they share the exact abilities. Some of things that Luffy does Mr. Fantastic did it years ago. Also I thought the poll concerned strength not personality or attitude.JulieYBM wrote:No, not quite. Words alone can be deceiving. Omega beam cannot destroy our planet Earth and not even a city. In Final Crisis, Barry Allen and Wally West, still pursued by the Black Racer, arrive to witness Superman's clash with Darkseid. Darkseid's followers unleash Omega Beams on the two Flashes, who outrace the beams and cause them to hit Darkseid. The Black Racer reaches Darkseid as he lays dying from Radion poisoning and removes his essence/soul from Dan Turpin's body.Krycek7o2 wrote:

As you can see, that alone contradicts your "omega beam can destroy anything" because Darkseid having radion poisoning then getting hit by the omega beamS didn't destroy his essence/soul or Dan Turpin's body.
If Lois Lane and the normal citizens didn't die from "Darkseid bringing down all of existence with his death", what more can you expect with the Saiyajins?
It's a gag manga! It never was nor was it meant to be scientifically sound or accurate.

I argee since Guyver 1 should have got a good spot on the list. I see this list to be more of a popular list then a who is stronger list. But it's nice to see some Fist of the North Star love on the list though. While we're at it, no love for Toguro (the younger), Guyver 1, Violence Jack, Amon, Takagi Yoshiyuki, or Saiga Riki-Oh? Anyone of those guys could easily contend with (even outright kick the shit out of, depending) a great many characters mentioned in this list (and most of their respective manga titles were/are certainly plenty popular and well known in Japan at least).

The first rule in the Death Note is:rereboy wrote:I think that it just can`t kill Reapers.Innagadadavida wrote:Doesn't the book specifically state that he can only kill humans? Or, at least, that's what the English version states. I don't know if it differers at all from the Japanese version.

The rules were written in by Ryuk, who was writing it for a human. Maybe 'mortal' could be used in place of human.Innagadadavida wrote:The first rule in the Death Note is:rereboy wrote:I think that it just can`t kill Reapers.Innagadadavida wrote: Doesn't the book specifically state that he can only kill humans? For example, Dragon Ball itself calls Saiyans 'human', when they're in their normal forms at least. Ginyu called himself one, too. Sometimes ningen just means person.
I also think the Guyvers should have made the list. I assume counting gods would be cheating, even though there was (potentially) one on the list.

Gods? You mean Zoalords and their not gods since a few of them are Planetbusters. Archanfel is the strongest since his best feat is destroying a Planet twice the size of Mars and was able to escape a Black hole.
Well I see this list to be a popularity list and Goku got #1 since he was voted to be number #1 (no different then Wolverine beating Lobo in the Marvel vs. DC comics). If I was going to make this list then either Pegasus Seiya or Tenchi Masaki would be #1 on the list IMHO.
