Yeah Castilian dub is quite bad especially since Goku's voice actor can't scream good at all, but I actually think that the Euro. Portuguese dub is worse to be honest.

Of course it`s worse, even if they have a cool voice-actor for Goku the rest doesn`t look appealing, we have the gayest voice ever for Freeza, and Ginyu looks like an opera singer, and i`m just saying examples.

Sorry for the off-topic

Are you telling me that the english dub is even worse? I can't believe it...
Regards!!
Yes. I don't like the voices of the English dub.
Maybe it's because of that I heard the Spanish dub first.
About the script I don't know. My Spanish isn't that good.
And to add, I'm not referring to the Castilian dub, I don't frequent those areas that much.

This is what we had in Spain before the editorial Selecta Vision anime:

VHS to DVD last.

Manga Films.
Well, yes. I compare it to Sweden, at least. They don't have half the anime series there as in Spain.
And that quality is what we had in Sweden the most until they released it on DVD. And only movie 1-3.

EDIT: And to add: No Dragonball series dub at all.
We should be happy for being able to watch Digimon, Pokémon and Sailor Moon.

No more time for Daizex. Goodbye folks!

You don`t understand the portuguese dub.

The portuguese Dub was made for the lulz.

That`s the only way to explain some of the translations and custom jokes.

Ya its worse but it makes me laugh

I answered you in my new thread DB Dubs Around The World. Back on-topic so the subs on here are like how Daimao's subs are on the FUNi DVD's.

The Spanish subtitles are very well done in my opinion. That screencap from the initial release looks horrible! Looks like VHS along with bad compression... Yikes!

Anyone know if these are progressive or interlaced? I know that Spain's Dragon Boxes are interlaced and I would assume that these are as well.

Interlaced.

It is only appraised in PC. DVD player and Xbox 360 and PS3 nor sign of interlace. Today it leaves on sale volume 3 and 4. Tomorrow if I can ire buy them. :D

They look fine on a standard DVD player. They look horrible when played on a PC, but once you get them de-interlaced they look really nice. The only bad thing is ghosting.

I notice it sometimes when there is fast motion as well.

Unfortunately almost looks like laserdisc footage IMO... cover art and menus rule though.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
At least in terms of packaging, the Spain releases look like what the US releases should've been.
