Eh, he rambled about some bullshit, that people said already, so I didn't have to read it.Tweaker wrote:I think I just may have found your problem.Vino wrote:I didn't read any of what you said
And its funny that this thread is still not closed, even when I asked it to be closed since yesterday, talk about moderating.

That's basically it.Rod wrote:Is there a reason as to why we can't make threads in that section? Is it like Freeza Heika to avoid having 2000 topics about the same thing? Just wondering
My train of thought is that... well, DragonBall Kai is really the new hotness in terms of current news and on-going events. Unlike something like Evolution, it's on-going; there is a new episode every single week, there is news about releases coming out, replacement voice actors, new musical scores, CD releases, blah blah blah. That right there was the main reason why I started up the "Kai" section by itself.
In terms of only allowing mods to start new topics in there, it's basically an extension of the above. I think it's very helpful to have a single resource to go to where you know there will be a specific thread for each episode, and you know it will be there more-or-less in a timely fashion for discussion. This definitely saves us from a deluge of both relevant AND inane comments about each and every little element about episodes. As has been stated, we don't need a bazillion threads for each episode.
As the "new hotness" aura dies down a little bit, I'll probably open up the "Kai" section to allow all registered members to start discussions, just like any other area. For now, it seems to be more of a help that way -- keep it clean, keep it relevant, and keep it consistent.
Agreed.Tweaker wrote:I think I just may have found your problem.
I fail to see how just because you started a thread and received an answer which you don't like, that you suddenly get to dictate that it should be closed, despite the fact that now OTHER PEOPLE are ACTIVELY DISCUSSING relevant items.Vino wrote:And its funny that this thread is still not closed, even when I asked it to be closed since yesterday, talk about moderating.

As long as you still type new posts here, I doubt that the topic will be closed.Vino wrote:It's not that I don't like your answer, I just lost interest in trying to change that policy of yours, hence I asked this thread to be closed in the first place.
What's the point in keeping it open anyway?
Eh, do what you want.
Mike is an Admin, not your personal forum vaccuumcleaner, to clean up the mess you do on these forums whenever you want.
Alas, if you beg to have a thread closed, he will do so only if it's necessary.
No more time for Daizex. Goodbye folks!

So Mike erased It because nobody replied? Well I made a post that only had 2 posts on It and I was kinda bummed out, and I really wanted Mike to erase It, but i got over it. Anyways why does it have to be a argument, I understand that Vino wanted to see what people thought about the episode but can't everybody just make up!

And don't really really get why Mike had to erase It! I'm getting woozy!

Mr.EX erased it because he was going to make an official thread just like it in the KAI section where those topics belong.Bardock No Sensei wrote:So Mike erased It because nobody replied? It also broke a pretty clear rule. Only the Mods can start the episode threads for the new Kai episodes.NeptuneKai wrote:Mr.EX erased it because he was going to make an official thread just like it in the KAI section where those topics belong.Bardock No Sensei wrote:So Mike erased It because nobody replied? Why is this still open?
Ya see, I erase cookies after every session online, so I log back in all the time. When I see an orange sticky note in the General board, I assume it's another post in the Wiki thread, something I would be interested in helping with. Instead, it's another post /here/, a thread where some guy bitched out about nothing, and then if I recall correctly, asked for the thread to be locked because he wisened up and realized how miniscule it is to be the one to start and episode thread.
WHY ARE THERE STILL POSTS HERE?

New to the forum? Just want to know when you'll hit your next posting rank? Ever wondered why some users have special titles, and what they mean? The answers to all these questions and more are waiting for you in the Kanzenshuu Member Hierarchy Guide!!

I'm just always amused that whenever in a forum someone makes a stupid thread, and everyone proceeds to smack them down, that person asks/declares the thread to be done as if they have some magical power to go 'ok the thread is closed now' and actually expecting the thread to be closed with no further comment... and then they insult the staff for not closing it.
I enjoy the Daizex/Kanzentai reign on this forum. I think VegettoEX/Meri and the others do a great job. Rules are rules and they must be followed if you wish to contribute whatever your opinion might be. I can see Vino really has no opinion if he's making an issue out of a non-issue.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

I do agree with this particular point. Unless there's a good reason to continue to sticky the first eight episodes or whatever, it would be nice to see less stickied threads.Vino wrote:Also unsticky some stickies, soon the whole page will be filled with them.
