Recycled Monster Rancher and Mega Man music, perhaps?

Also definitely on the list, but nope, STILL better than Linkin Park.

Actually, I would take that over Linkin Park.

Really, Linkin Park mixed with Dragonball irks me about a million times more than the dub music. Yes, even more than that stupid repetitive Perfect Cell theme that they played for what seemed like the entire fucking Cell Game.
I actually like Linkin Park, they need something fresh and relevant instead of the Hanna Barbera stuff everyone seems found of on here.
Fresh and relevant? Obviously you missed the joke. Maybe it would seem fresh and relevant if there weren't about a gajillion AMVs of Trunks crying while Linkin Park is playing the background or something.

Seriously, though. What's wrong with Hannah Barbara, anyway?

Besides your obvious man-crush on Vegeta, why do you even like Dragonball? With how I see it, Dragonball is worlds away from whatever "All-Gray Wangsty Angry White Boy MMA Action Show" you're looking for. I don't mean that to be mean, either. I just really don't understand what you like about Dragonball except for Vegeta.

It's good to see that many of the members here are very optimistic about a better Dragon Ball movie. I just can't get myself to support a live action movie at all. And I did finally see Evolution.

On the whole "reality" thing, it's gotta have some sense of reality or it's just gonna come off as campy and shitty.

But of course, you can do that without drastically altering the story, such as Goku and Chichi going to school together and some such.

Oh man, so stupid. Fresh and relevant, Linkin Park? Are you posting from the year 2001? If so please go prevent 9/11.

Heard about this last night on JAPPO's site. :3

I'm actually excited. I might actually get my in-character Goku afterall? X3

They need to cast a guy who has actual martial arts experience; I am not a fan of wire-fu or whatever you call that fake "held-up-by-strings-and-swung-around-by-machines" version of martial arts.

Chatku was an awful, OOC downer of a character who I found way too irritating and whiny to ever possibly care about.

But a new actor; with a script that would keep Goku in-character; and actually looks the part (black eyes, black hair) would be SO AWESOME!

I really hope this reboot thing is true. :3

As for Vegeta; I can wait for a sequel to the reboot. I liked that they tried to use DB and go to Z in the sequel.
On hiatus.

I agree with this. With (early) DragonBall, you could go either two ways... Retain all the bright, colorful, animal-people and other goofy-looking aspects, and turn it into a PG-rated kids' movie. Or you could go for a bit more of a mystical, sci-fi-esque approach and be a slightly more mature film. DBE tried for the latter, which I do think is the better choice. However, they just did it... wrong.

Well, you can add some sense to reality to it in the sense that you can make it epic like Lore of the Rings or something in relation to hunting for the Dragonballs. It doesn't have to have Speed Racer colors or anything. The actual real world naturally has plenty of colors and wonderful sights. Even if they have to be reproduced in a studio instead of having on-location filming, they can still make the world of Dragonball realistic and beautiful at the same time. Realism doesn't have to be gray and brown with used dirty needles on the ground and stuff.

Dragonball can be "down to Earth" and still be as epic, adventurous, fun, and fantastic as it's animated and comic counterparts and not be corny (though I'd personally love for it to be kinda corny). The problem is that it seems most movies that go the realistic route try to make everything look muted and depressing. If they're gonna get it right, and if people (for some weird reason) actually want realism in their Dragonball, they're going to have to simply make it fantastic in a realistic sense rather than going overboard and trying to take it in the "ZOMGxHARDxCORE" direction that made most of us skip Dragonball Evolution.

If Spider-Man can run around in his tights in a real New York City and we can enjoy (at least the first two) Spider-Man films, then Dragonball can be wonderous and magical without coming off as a corny attempt to do live action anime.

Though, being a fan of the Speed Racer movie, I'd totally love a corny technicolor acid trip of a Dragonball movie.

“Actor tough, with the expéricience in the trade, to play in a big Hollywood film. ” That could be early announcement by the director James Wong and scoiété production directs the film, Twentieth Century Fox. It is now a virtual certainty: the film live manga cult of Akira Toriyama, Dragon Ball Evolution, will undergo a second adjustment. While James Marsters announced last week that would emerge later in 2010, today the South American newspaper El Siglo, said in its issue of the day as a result of the film by James Wong should undergo some changes. “Changes” as the newspaper announcement, expected as early as August. While the shooting will start in September …

According to the same source, Eriko Tamura (Mai) and Joon Park (Yamcha) and students will not be renewed in this second opus. Thus, management is currently seeking a person of great size with a big build (Ten Shin Han?) And three other medium-sized with fairly long hair, the newspaper informs us. Research has already begun but no name has yet been mentioned in the premises of FOX.

According to a close the file contacted by us, one of the employees working on the project, we said this. “I know that many fans are against this new direction. I respect that, but know that any team is to build on this project. This has always been a major concern of James Wong to make a trilogy, it’s just that we never thought that FOX would give us this opportunity. However, I can not tell you anything more, we expect to confirm this result. “We said one of the employees of the FOX

I hope there's something wrong there, because if not, then it means this movie will suck just as hard as the last.

Shooting starts in September? They can't take a good half or full year to write a screenplay without holes like a wiffle ball? I see no reason to be shooting that early.

God damnit, now I'm annoyed.

Weren't there reports before Evoltuion came out that a sequel was being written with Goku dying near the beginning of the movie? The script has probably been done since before DBE came out.

Hey, I thought Linkin Park's stuff was appropriate for Transformers. We need something that is lively and befit the action and emotion on the screen. When I looking at Vegeta kicking ass I do not want to hear ‘lets take a voyage on a pirate ship’ or ‘lets go steal a pic-a-nic basket’ music in the background.

Wait a minute will there be a reboot or will Fox go ahead with a sequel? Was the above quote from something current?

One script has been done for a while. But for some reason, probably fan backlash, Fox wanted it redone or reworked. But they're no better than James Wong, they don't know what fans want... they're executives.

This news is just a rumor, but it wouldn't surprise me. Fox only owns so many big-name properties, and I doubt they want to waste any. They want to reboot Daredevil and Fantastic Four sometime as well. They're already rebooting the Aliens vs. Predator movies with an "Alens" and "Predator" reboot with the original director/producer. The last AVP came out in 2007.
If challenge had a taste, you'd be quite delicious.

We need it FAR more than we do some whiny, lame "I suck so much" excuse for "music" like Linkin Park. The reboot soundtrack should be something good and orchestral, like Kikuchi's. There was really nothing wrong with Brian Tyler's DBE, score, actually. Probably one of the few really good aspects of the film.

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't really good either. I can only remember maybe one song from the movie.

If not Linkin Park what about Green Day or the Smashing Pumpkins, yeah some may argue that they are dated but they make excellent “current” music.
