Oh, so it's my fault that we don't have one?
Well I'm so sorry I single-handedly thwarted any chance of any movie studio ever creating a live action dragon ball movie featuring Vegeta. What a dastardly villainess I am.
Seriously, you can't put the blame on the people who didn't care for the movie as being responsible for there not being a sequel or a reboot. These things are the responsibility of the company producing the film. Blame the head of FOX's movie division or any number of people involved with the film's production and the marketing division (what with how very little advertising there was for this movie).
But don't go blaming me or others who didn't care for the movie. If I actually wielded the type of power that could force FOX to not make a sequel--which I don't, I do not hold such delusions about myself--I wouldn't be wasting that type of power on such things.
I do want a reboot with a completely different cast, different director, different writer--maybe even a different movie studio; so its not like I have an intense dislike for the idea of a live action DB and/or Z. A live action Dragon Ball that relies on actual martial arts instead of wire-fu could look fantastic in theory. I would've liked to have seen Stephen Chow direct instead of produce. I think a PG-13 full on brawl would've been great to watch, but I didn't get any of that.
What's happened, happened. It's not my fault and it's completely out of my hands; it's always been.

Yes. It is my fault. I am solely responsible for the story, cast, costumes, and everything else that made people not want to see the movie. You've caught me red-handed.Saiyan-Professor wrote:And it is all because of you people…Chuquita wrote:...Though at this point, I don't think we're ever going to see a live action Vegeta.

He was just kidding, guys. Let's save the hostility for whenever he insults pre-Radditz Dragon Ball.
That picture JAPPO linked to is actually pretty cool. If only FOX was as competent as Random Blogster.
I have no way of telling if he was kidding because there's nothing in his statement that points to him joking around; in addition, that's my quote he used plus the "mad" emoticon so all I can infer from it was he was taking a shot at me and blaming me and others for the film not doing well.
I'm not a snarky, sarcastic person by nature, but if someone's gonna try and take a jab at me, then I'm gonna defend myself. ^^;
The Random Blogster's photo does look neat. I could see that face for Vegeta in the Cell or Buu arc.

I'm hoping for some new animated feature again, never cared and never will for live action movie after this DBE *sorry* bullshit. Long before the premiere, I was saying on message boards and to people, that I know that this movie won't be good, after I saw a few photos, then, I saw the movie and it was worse than I tought it could be. When I told lot of bad things about the movie, lot of people attacked me with a really bad language
Now I'm swimming and laughing in that big river of dissapointment.
You can't try the same tactic as with Mortal Kombat, which is for first addaptation of game and for second, really old. Dragon Ball posses a really big universe of manga, anime and video games and you can't make a movie like Mortal Kombat. And this movie is lot worse then MK. Anyway, if there will be sequel or reeboot , I am curious and *thumbs up* for producers of the next DB movie

I doubt there will ever be a reboot for Dragon Ball. I bet we'll see a sequel/reboot to Speed Racer before Dragon Ball. Which I would enjoy because Speed Racer was better than Evolution in every way possible.
I completely respect your opinion, and I respect you. I enjoyed discussing this with you, even if I don't completely agree.

No, I was serious all the bitching and complaining swayed those that may have given it a chance because they want to be on the side of the Dragonball gods. Hell I even know the movie could have been better when you look at movies like Transformers, Wolverine and G.I. Joe but if it had made some descent money perhaps, we could have gotten a better sequel with Vegeta. But no…everyone had to be ass holes…Daizex has more pull than everyone thinks. Now I cannot see Vegeta on the big screen…thanks a lot.
The Saiyans are very much like the Klingons and Jem'Hadar.

Oh come on dude! You can't seriously believe any of what you just said! Dragon Ball fans didn't screw Dragon Ball! Fox screwed Dragon Ball! The rights to it are owned by a company that doesn't give a shit about it and was too scary to actually takes some real risks with it! That's why the movie failed and that's why there'll probably never be a reboot/sequel.Saiyan Professor wrote:No, I was serious all the bitching and complaining swayed those that may have given it a chance because they want to be on the side of the Dragonball gods. If I'm watching Dragon Ball on projector, I have Vegeta on wall across the whole living room. It's possible to project it to the neighbours house, so you get it even more bigger!Saiyan-Professor wrote:Now I cannot see Vegeta on the big screen…thanks a lot.

Dude come on, I was so hyped for this movie and at the last second when it started to come out, I was so let down I couldn't even bear to see it in theaters. I still think they piddled around, worried more about what was in their wallets, and jerked off all over negative film, called it digitally remastered HD, and released it as DragonBall Evolution.Saiyan-Professor wrote:And it is all because of you people…Chuquita wrote:...Though at this point, I don't think we're ever going to see a live action Vegeta.
Please note before my rant begins, I will like to point out that I am just leaving Goku and Chichi in school out of this.
It really upset me, and 99% of the people on this forum, that probably the only cool thing they gave us was Goku's gi/dogi/uniform/karate outfit/wtf?!
The battle's weren't even epic, ok, Piccolo makes minions using his DNA, our hero's are in a cave when suddenly for no reason, OH NO EVIL ALIEN MONSTER THINGS AHH! JUMP OVER LAVA! Seriously? Where the hell did those things come from, how did they know were the DB Gang was at?! Ok, I'm sure some of you will say, UH UH BUT BUT PICCOLO COULD LOCATE DRAGONBALLS, SO THAT'S HOW THEY FOUND THEM. My words to those who have to say, whatever, it's a plot hole, you can't fight it, and I have everyone to back me up on it.
Seriously too, did we really have to hear Grandpa Gohan's Uncle Ben speech to Peter Parker about HELL OF A LOT MORE TIMES THEN UNCLE BEN DID TELL PETER HIS FAMOUS QUOTE MORE THAN ALL 3 SPIDER MAN MOVIES?!
The final battle with Goku and Piccolo is just the shittiest moment in the whole movie. Reading and hearing the fight was going to be 15 minutes, it was like 5 minutes, 5 minutes of the worst what the fuck moments a movie fight has to offer. They yell, they float, they attack, hardly any punches, barrely any awesome dodging the anime and manga have to offer, and what do we get? A shit load of ki blasts going off everywhere, and rocks exploding. Yeah that was um, epic I guess? Piccolo stands in one spot and just shoots ki blasts? Yeah...very awesome...
Something as epic as Dragonball, it should have been handled well. You think after aquiring the rights in 2002, they could have started work on the film and just now released it, very similar to LOTR, and I have to say I HATE THOSE MOVIES! But nope, all FOX could shit and jerk out of their systems was nothing but a very short, plot hole galore, poorly written, some bad acting (on some characters), bad directory, basicly, a fucking Power Rangers movie, shit even the Power Rangers movie was better then this.
But I hope kids that enjoyed this movie, will feel the same thing I did seeing SMB in theaters, waiting, waiting, waiting for a sequel. You ask your parents, where's the sequel? They say, it's not gonna happen, it's like seeing your dog getting hit by a truck.
So you know what? F%($ Fox, I'll revamp the movie myself with my Goku replica movie costume, and make a trailer for Z The Arrival of Raditz, and blow this movie out of the water. You can see it in the year 20(insert cough).

Yes, that's the reason. Of course. It couldn't be because the movie sucked.Saiyan-Professor wrote:I was serious all the bitching and complaining swayed those that may have given it a chance because they want to be on the side of the Dragonball gods.
What did you expect from "true Dragon Ball fans"? You know they only exist to annoy you.Now I cannot see Vegeta on the big screen…thanks a lot.
Seriously.

So true, I think a movie featuring the Saiyan's will be much more appealing to the audience. We all love dragonball - Yes it's true. But I just think it would be more entertaining to watch the battle between Goku and Vegeta, see the Saybermen sprout from the ground kicking Yamcha and the others' asses - But of course.. Krillin would totally need to make an appearance.Saiyan-Professor wrote:No, I want Vegeta now, I had to sit through everyone one’s “Goku” even though they were upset that he was not the drooling idiot that we see in the manga and anime. I refuse to sit through another Dragonball, which was the most boring part of the series with the exception of the last two story arcs (Piccolo Daimaô and Ma-Jr.). I did not become a fan of Dragonball; I became a fan of Dragonball Z (GT) and Vegeta’s badassery. I think that the best option would be a sequel to DB:E or a reboot but beginning with Z.Tenshinhan-san wrote:But wouldn't you rather get a fantastic DB movie which would ensure a great sequel with a masterfully protrayed Vegeta, than getting a potentially half-assed one?Saiyan-Professor wrote:If they could leave the silly stuff out like CGI animals all over the place and keep the cool “Goku”, I would support it but that would mean that I would have to wait longer to see Vegeta. If they would skip Dragonball altogether and go to Z I would be one happy fan.On my end, the biggest complaint I heard was that Vegeta was not present. I am not making this up because I am a Vegeta fan that was actually, what I heard people criticize the movie for leaving out the character.
Don't get me wrong I wouldn't mind if they started at Z (they can still do prequels later on), but I wouldn't mind waiting for Vegeta if that meant he'd be done that much more well...
Personally I always preferred Z to DB, I love Dragonball with all my heart, but Z is just that much more entertaining. I don't want to start arguments it's just my own personal preference.
It would be pretty neat for the next movie to show us the Saiyan saga and then perhaps leave it on a cliffhanger with the explosion of Namek.
Just hopefully if they do make this happen, They won't make a hash-up and leave out such an important character as Krillin.
"Ok, use your instincts Kakarott. Right or Left? (Hmmm... I'd have to say... left.) Good. Then I'm going right!" (Vegeta to Goku as they try to find their way to free the others inside Buu - Episode: The Innards of Buu)

Oh, put a lid on it, dude! You can't blame us because DBE didn't deliver. Even the most open-minded DB fans I know hated it. And they went to see it in theaters.Saiyan-Professor wrote:No, I was serious all the bitching and complaining swayed those that may have given it a chance because they want to be on the side of the Dragonball gods.

Jackie Chan is 54 years old, he's more suited for Kame Sennin, which would be hilarious when he becomes Jackie Chun.
We'll need a 13 year old child star from Asia to play Goku...
And of course cast different people for his older roles, it's not like they waited for Jake Lloyd to grow up to play Anakin in Attack of the Clones.
