Not sure if this is new news, but here it goes...

Here are two videos from Japan Expo 09 in France:

Also, two things from the main site:

On the main page, if I'm not mistaken, it says the game will come out on July 23 instead of September 30 in Japan.

A few more things from the versus mode...

It looks like 17 characters will be playable in the versus mode with 6 available from the start. Sorry about the image quality, I wanted to make it bigger since the image on the site is kind of small...

Looks like you can fight at Uranai Baba's place! I'm not sure where Tenshinhan or Yamcha and Chaozu are sparring.

Blue, Tambourine, Drum, Gohan and Taopaipai have already been revealed as playable in the versus mode in this trailer:

My guess for the remaining six is: Piccolo, Yajirobe, Mira-Kun, Akkuman and... possibly Bora and Nam.

Yeah Nam is a good candidate too. There's also Android 8... Man, I wish it were more than 17 characters. Maybe they'll have really hidden characters. Like Characters that don't even appear as "?" on the roster when they haven't been unlocked, like in Super Smash Bros.

I doubt Nam will be in the game, sadly. Remember the first Tournament isn't covered in this game. It's Red Ribbon arc onward.

Playing as Arale would be sweet, though.

Nam was in the second tournament, he was also in some filler in the RR arc.

Nope it starts at the Red Ribbon Army saga. I guess it started out as an Origins Sequel.

No, the filler was separate. He was cannonologically in the second tournament but beaten in the first round. He was in a couple of filler episodes at the beginning of the Red Ribbon Army saga.

Where in the manga is Nam in the 22nd Tournament? He is beaten by Tenshinhan in the anime, but that scene isn't in the manga. The only thing I could think you are referring to is how Piccolo Daimao kills off everyone from the tournament including Nam, but Piccolo killed Giran too. I think they just had rosters from both tournament, so unless it's in a guide book I think Nam only participates in the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai in the anime, which is a great scene though. I hope he's added to the game anyway, just because he's a pretty important side character among the other tournament participants. I'd say after Piccolo, Tenshinhan, Jackie Chun, Kuririn, Chi Chi, Nam is the most important guy goku fights in the tournaments.

It's one of those, it could happen but its just not really there so it didn't I think that's my favorite kinda filler, cause if you like it you can accept it as canonical ad the story still makes sense.

Yeah. Namu is there in the anime, but is defeated by Tenshinhan. Then Goku hates Tenshinhan even more.

this game is a must-have!!! especially when chiatzou is playable character!
chiatzou ROX \../ that's why I bought the first tenkaichi, I dislike that game more then sagas. tenkaichi is a decent game, but the mainreason I wanted tenkaichi was chiatzou he kicks ass!!!

Looks like you can get money by winning in tournament mode and use that to buy things in the shop. Nothing too groundbreaking.
