Keep it as IS, don't fuck it up. You said you didn't touch a thing so keep to your word! Just add subs and leave it alone!!!SonGokuGT wrote:I vote for this as well! Except that they're already packing the disks tighter than the original Dragon Box version, by one whole episode and at least one extra audio track that we know of. I'm not saying it's impossible to fit more audio tracks, but you do eventually get to a point where you are making sacrifices.DragonBalllKaiHD wrote:I can see what you are saying but I have seen every American movies included with foreign languages and they still have good encoding.Kendamu wrote:The disc space could go toward making the best encoding possible for the Japanese version with subs.DragonBalllKaiHD wrote: Yes but there is no reason why Funimation shouldn't include English dub specially for us to purchase DBOX, would it?
(Plus, most DVD movies have shit encoding.)

So adding extras will ruin the Dragon Box quality? i didn't know that...Daimo-Rukiri wrote:Keep it as IS, don't fuck it up. You said you didn't touch a thing so keep to your word! Yeah, I kind of feel that way.snaku wrote:It's finally sunk in. Orange brick buyers got fleeced.
Y'know, I just sold out too. I was completely against buying the Orange Bricks because I own the whole English manga. I figured I didn't NEED the Orange Bricks and that I was happy with my manga, Steelbooks, & GT Bricks. Then I cracked when I heard of Dragon Ball Season 1. Today, I just bought the last 3 Orange Bricks I needed and decided to check good ol' Daizex to see what I've missed for a week.Milton wrote:I FUCKING knew it.
And here, after I sold out and bought the damn Orange Bricks thinking this was it. And it looks like my theory was correct.
*sigh*
Here, Funimation. Just...just take my damn wallet AGAIN.
"LOL Now that you've bought the DBZ Season Sets, here comes DBZ Dragon Boxes! LMAO" I mean that's good news but... Damn it.

But seriously, how does liking the dub =/= hardcore?
Wait a minute, how does adding a dub=changing it? Adding subtitles is too, with your logic. They're not doing anything to the film masters, are they?Daimo-Rukiri wrote:

But yeah, I have experience with adding subtitles to the Dragon Box and the discs had about 200-300 megs free.
I think he meant the Bit rate problems some of us are worried about.jjgp1112 wrote:Wait a minute, how does adding a dub=changing it? Adding subtitles is too, with your logic. They're not doing anything to the film masters, are they?Daimo-Rukiri wrote:

Subtitles will cost nothing to the film master, but adding 0.5GB of audio just for one language is going to kill it. A Dbox episodes is 2GB! 2.5GB can kill the picture.jjgp1112 wrote:Wait a minute, how does adding a dub=changing it? Adding subtitles is too, with your logic. There should be no transfer problems as we are NTSC!
That's opening up an economy-size can of worms.Daimo-Rukiri wrote:Japanese version wins everytime. I don't think people got fleeced. Just company's making more money by re-releasing. Remember how many releases EVA got? Didn't hear complaints about that.
Got to say, don't think will pic this up, because I like the English language and got a lot of the series anyway via older dvds, vhs, etc. Not into duplicates, hence why YYH, only got the 2-discs of certain Dark Tournament eps.

Wonder when the Amazon link will be up! And also, I'm selling some stuff for this, so PM me for details!
I'm pretty sure when they said "we're not changing a damn thing" they meant the film masters.Daimo-Rukiri wrote:Subtitles will cost nothing to the film master, but adding 0.5GB of audio just for one language is going to kill it. The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

In all seriousness if they add the English dub it's going to be the 5.1 surround sound version, they won't include the Faulconer tracks.
